I am not one to go below a three star review, but this time I have to. I am under the assumption that when a business is open, it means it's ready to go. They were not even close. There were two display refrigerators for meats. Hardly anything there and whatever was there didn't look good for consumption. Looked passed it's prime. It's a Butcher market... The machine used to slice meat had pieces of meat hanging out in the circular blade. There were also pieces of meat in the bottom. By the looks of it, the meat had been hanging out there for a while. They tried to clean the floor. It was a bit slippery. It was not wet. Actually felt a bit greasy. The Diet Coke I got (a can) had a fresh date of 14 Mar 22. I checked all the other 18 cans of Diet Coke in the fridge and all had the same date. Why am I mentioning this? It did not taste like Diet Coke. I still ordered what I went there for: Menudo. Taste was ok, but: I had a plate full of cows feet and some menudo. Its becoming a common practice to add them to a menudo plate. Not excited about it, but I live with it. Never before I had four pieces in the same bowl. I paid too much money for the Menudo plate I ordered. Not much menudo in there.

Don't buy at the store it's expensive and dirty plus they charge you every time you swipe your card i Don't recommend it at all Don't waste your money trust me.

Honestly they only deserve 4 stars, but I felt like I needed to counteract the two one-star reviews, since one was about masks and one was about someone not knowing what to expect from a Mexican meat market. The tacos are pretty good. Barbacoa was tender and juicy, though smoked a bit more than I'd like. The al pastor was not good on it's own, mushy and grainy, but somehow became delicious after adding salsas to it. The Chuleta Ahumada was outstanding. I've never had this meat in a taco before, but it was both crispy and tender with great flavor. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla which was pretty good, but severely lacking in cheese. However it came with avocado, jalapeños, and other additions on the side which were unexpected and definitely improved it. I'd recommend not coming here if you don't have at least a basic understanding of Spanish; the girl at the register did not even understand me when I asked for "three tacos." Someone did come over to the register to help translate, but I just started speaking Spanish and he left us alone. In any case, I definitely intend to go back, and in my opinion no restaurant that I want to return to should have 3 stars

(Translated by Google) We just order some mixed fajitas for what they said should feed “20 people”. When we finally served our guests, we were only able to serve 9 people in small plates. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE!!!!! IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE A ONE STAR I WOULD. THE FOOD HERE IS ABSOULTLY OUTSTANDING AND WOULD NOT MIND ORDERING ON THE GO! BUT THE WAY THESE LADYS TALK TO YOU IT'S ALMOST LIKE THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR OTHERS, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

This is a really good taqueria with a variety of fillings for tacos and quesadillas. Has a nice salsa bar too. It's not high end but the food satisfied this former San Diego resident who is very picky about his TexMex. Three tacos, a Carne asada quesadilla and drink for $12. I'll be returning for sure.

This place NEVER have soap to wash hands, the bath is nasty!!! I wonder how employees wash their hands after going to the bathroom???

This is a whole in the wall taco/convenience/butcher shop. Literal whole in the whole. Like someone kicked a hole in a wall and setup up a taco place that serves alcohol.

Why is it called a Butcher shop??
