We’ve been going to Twisted Noodles for years, it’s one of my favorite places to go. I always get the drunken noodles, and it has never had cabbage in it before. I can’t help but feel like they are adding it in as a filler. With how expensive their food is this is pretty disappointing.

Pad Thai tasted like BBQ sauce, fitting for the Carolinas but not for anyone looking for authentic flavor. Tom Yum noodles were bland with dry and flavorless meat. Other reviews mention large portions, none of which I could find on my visit. Take your patronage to the many other better Thai options less than 15 mins away.

Fantastic food. Truly. This is high quality Thai food. I love spicy foods and the kitchen can make your food as spicy and aromatic as you want. Highly recommend on a cold winter day.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 — Better Dine-In Than Delivery
Twisted Noodles is in a great spot in Durham, and I wanted to like this place more than I did.
I ordered for the first time through Uber Eats and got a steak and peppers bowl along with a chicken and noodle bowl. Visually, the steak bowl was well put together and nicely presented, but the first bite was disappointing. The steak was very dry. Like noticeably dry. Enough to take you out of the experience immediately.
I’ll say this though: if I had been dining inside the restaurant, I imagine the staff might’ve been able to accommodate and fix the issue with solid customer service. Unfortunately, on delivery, that option doesn’t exist, so the steak bowl just didn’t land.
The chicken and noodle bowl was better. The chicken itself was fine, slightly on the dry side too, but the noodles helped balance it out. Together it was moist enough, flavorful enough, and overall decent. That dish saved the order.
My recommendation:
• Delivery – avoid the peppered steak
• Dine-in – steak might be worth trying so it can be cooked and adjusted properly
• Chicken + noodles – safer choice
Overall, a 3 out of 5 for me based on delivery. Not bad, but not a repeat order unless I’m sitting inside.

Food was delicious and service was good. The papaya salad, green curry with pork and the spicy eggplant stir fry were all really good!

The larb salad was terrible, mealy, dry, crumbly, flavorless pork crumbles that honestly tasted old/off. Very disappointing.

Had a really good time at Twisted Noodles. They accommodated a 20-person group and gluten-free restriction very well!! The food was great and the atmosphere was nice.
