Terribly bland food, even the salsa is somehow watered down.

The food was edible, but lackluster. The service was pretty much nonexistent (didn't get a refill on tea or water or even checked on), and the floor was sticky.

The food was great. Service was polite but very delayed. Prices were higher than I'd like, but the food quality was high enough to justify it. I won't eat there all the time, but I'll definitely be back.

Sadly I have to agree with the rest of the bad reviews. This place is awful!

The food tastes like nothing, no spices or salt or any taste at all, the salsa was just tomato juice, the Waitress was nice but so incompetent.

Sorry that restaurant is a no go!

Worst experience I’ve had here. We came for lunch. Salsa tasted like straight water which is weird because normally it’s good salsa. Food came lukewarm to cold. My friends tacos were absolutely horrendous, they made Taco Bell’s tacos look like Michelin star food. Tamales were okay. My friends nachos were stale. Service was good aside from taking 10 minutes to get greeted at the table. Needles to say this establishment has gone downhill the past two years and it shows.

This place is terribly understaffed. Our waiter had a nose bleed and had to step away from serving us.(understandable). The manager didn't offer to help him or anything. It' was 4 other tables, he could have received assistance but no one came to help him. He stayed professional the entire time but he had no help do our food came out cold. Management here needs to do better with their staff and maybe this would help a better establishment. Just go to fire birds !

We had a wonderful lunch here last Friday. We were greeted and seated promptly. Javier was our server and he was the best!  He was very gracious and friendly. We got our food quickly and it was very tasty.  Kyla (the manager on duty) came by our table also, and she was very cordial as well.  We have eaten at this location several times, and at the Raleigh location (which they sadly closed last year). We recommend this restaurant, especially if you are lucky enough to get Javier as your server.

Prior to my dinner last night, Uncle Julio's was my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Triangle. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. It is difficult to imagine that we will be returning.

Below are some concerns/complaints that we observed and experienced.

- No one was manning the host/hostess stand. My wife waited probably 10 minutes before someone finally appeared. Staff could be seen in the back of the restaurant as if they were on break or had nothing to do. After we were seated we could see other parties coming inside and looking around for someone to seat them. This happened regularly while we were there. Customers sometimes roamed the seating area near the bar looking for a host/hostess. I think some grew frustrated and wisely left before being seated.
- From beginning to end, it was like pulling teeth trying to get drink refills, chip refills, etc. I estimate that wait time for chips, drink refills, etc. was about 10 minutes per request. I ate most of my meal without a drink.
- Three members of our party shared a taco bar. They had finished their portions and were waiting on another serving before my fajitas (which were smaller than I recall them being in previous visits) even arrived.
- Other customers who came in after us were also experiencing the same problems. A member of another party that was seated behind us actually asked us if we had seen our waiter; she wound up roaming around the restaurant and finally found him. The party seated in front of us eventually left before ordering. Shortly after we stepped outside, we noticed on the patio where someone had left a full tray of tacos. I am guessing their service was so bad that they understandably left before the food arrived.
- At no point was management visible to offer an apology, which is telling. The servers seemed to be working hard, but they were overwhelmed. Our server, while courteous, also never apologized.

I understand that some establishments are suffering from limited staffing, but if they have any hope of surviving in the long run, shutting it down in the short term and addressing these deficiencies might be the best hope. If not, they will be forced to shut down permanently because of customer marketplace choices. This place absolutely has no business being open right now, which is a shame. We loved eating there. We've eaten there many times. The food and service used to be outstanding. Yesterday was my nephew's birthday and we were all looking forward to an enjoyable meal. Sadly, that did not happen. After last night's utterly poor dining experience, I highly doubt we'll set foot in there again. I can no longer trust them to deliver quality service.

We planned had originally planned to go try Razzoo’s Cajun restaurant. But decided that we wanted Mexican food. We were so excited to try the food here at Uncle Julio’s (Okc). We walked in the girl at the door was busy wiping down the windows and finally decided to seat us. We were seated and the server was nice and quick. We ordered the mixed chicken fajitas skillet with bacon wrap shrimp. The food came out cold, and on the skillet was 2 slivers of chicken fajitas which I swear looked like they were just warmed up in the microwave. The one slice of beef fajita was cold and rubbery. I felt so embarrassed to eat this food. We paid 60 dollars which was absolutely a waste of money!!! The restrooms were so dirty.Papertowels and toilet paper everywhere. Urine on the floor and the toilets were filthy. We were extremely disappointed! Stay far away from this place.

Awful experience on 3/22 for dinner. Clearly way understaffed, food was cold and awful, server was trying hard but way over worked and could not even get us water. Avoid.

Service and atmosphere is very good. Food is very bad. Chicken fajita was just a chicken breast grilled and cut into 4 pieces served with tortillas. The taco salad was clearly a bagged salad that tasted like a cheap Caesar w next to no toppings that were listed. Very bizarre experience because the place looks upscale but it was worse than Taco Bell.
