The food was great the people was great. I ate 2 fired pork chops Before I got out the door. The hush puppies could use a little more sugar and the butter beans and corn could use a little more sugar. The fried ribs was excellent . The potato salad was fire. 🔥

This was my second time coming & my food was amazing! The man taking my order was very attentive & certainly cares about customer service. The fish, mac, & yams was greatttt. Definitely one of the best soul food spots in Durham

This food establishment has not failed me in the fee times I have been as of late. Everybody is friendly and the food is amazing! The only bad thing is the sweet young lady that took my order the last time had on a Filthydelphia Eagles hat...lol You will really want to give this place a try!

I didnt like they dont give fresh food, less its fried. They gave me old hamburger steak, it was stiff. The mac was old and dry. You pay too much for the food not to be fresh. Anytime I get porkchops, they fresh. I keep asking why I eat here. I hate old food. Theres not a lot of good soul food places here. Maybe its my Q to open one.. That pecan cake is delicious tho! Amen!

Today was my second time eating here and both times the food was great .However whenever the young lady at the front got my order wrong when I explained to her that I wanted mashed potato’s instead of rice she went to the back and then came back to say that I didn’t order potatoes I told her I did she went back and forth with me which was disrespectful coming from her.Secondly I was also told by her that if I wanted potatoes that I had to pay for it. I already spent around $27for my meal . I told her no that’s not right to pay more money.Today I was definitely was disappointed. I would eat there again but the young lady that took my order needs more training on customer service. glad that I didn’t add in a tip with my payment.Might I add that the air vents needs cleaning they’re full of dust.

I was in the area and saw the storefront. I decided to try it because I wanted fried fish. It was busy due to it being a Sat. Printer was done so there was a wait. Since I used to be a server, I gave them grace.

However, the food was horrible. I ordered flounder, Mac & cheese and green beans. It was a waste of my money, $19. The fish was EXTREMELY salty, someone just poured the entire box. Salt is not a seasoning. The green beans were VERY sweet like they were trying to make a cake. The Mac & cheese had no flavor. I had to throw it away because it was not edible.

My only complaint is the wait time for food & no Cajun was tasted in my fish, just regular. It took 32 mins for me to receive a Cajun catfish plate with Mac & cabbage but it was DELICIOUS! Lemonade was great. Fresh & hot food. Turkey BBQ is BOMB!
