After disclosing this was my first time visiting you would think they would let you know it would take an hour to cook my food. I’ve been to many Jamaican restaurants and I have never had to wait that long even when busy. Suggestion: if you’re that busy regardless if it’s pasta or anything prepping more should be considered. The pasta was good but my jerk chicken egg roll seemed to be Philly Cheesesteak. Maybe that’s how they make it but it was fried extremely hard and since I expected jerk and didn’t get it made me angry. Plus being pregnant amplified my dissatisfaction cause I was craving it to not get what I wanted. Overall I think her name is Angela. I do appreciate her customer service. She showed empathy and she seemed genuine and even asked me what time I had to be back to work and apologized.

Loud music to the point you cannot hear the cashier, extremely long wait times to the point you could come back home and drive back and you food still wouldn’t be ready. Wouldn’t recommend wish I never came.

Rasta Pasta has a good strong flavor profile just tasted like it was missing a little more creaminess to the pasta and very few oxtail so for 26$ I think I was just expecting a little more. Really wanted to taste the homemade juices advertised by another food reviewer. It wasn’t packed at all but it took 40 minutes for us to get our plates. I would try them again one day maybe a more traditional plate. I traveled an hour from out of town to try this…

when I tell you guys, this is the best Caribbean soul fusion restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’m not just saying that I mean it. The service is great. The atmosphere is so lively, music playing in the background. The staff is happy and hard at work. The owners are really kind, They even gave us a sample of their signature mac & cheese and yam (it was delicious). I highly suggest Coming here if you are in the Durham area. here in the picture is their jerk, chicken beans, and rice with a side of cabbage and a beef patty. The jerk chicken was jerking. The rice was so nice and fluffy. The cabbage was savory with a touch of sweetness, and the beef patty was so flaky and fresh.

THIS PLACE IS THE VIBE!!! Everyone is welcoming and attentive.

The food comes out hot, delicious and fresh.

The restaurant is very clean and the music is jamming.

We live in Raleigh, and we were just driving by. But I’m so glad we stopped in.

This is a new spot for us.

I’ve heard about this restaurant for years and finally had the pleasure of enjoying it during a community event in December. The southern fried chicken and plantains were delicious. I need to try the whiting which smelled even better but sold out pretty early that day. I’ve never had slaw like that - it was also so delicious! Service was fine. I look forward to checking out the restaurant, hopefully during a non-peak time 😅

Me and my daughter went here today. We got the lamb chops, macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The lambs chops was very salty and burnt. The collard greens were sweet who puts sugar in they greens. The macaroni and cheese has toooooo much black pepper in it. And the rice was ah. Overall the food wasn't good.

The young lady taking orders was very nice. She read my order back to me correctly because i didn't want any jerk sauce because I don't eat spicy food due to ulcers and got white garlic sauce for my shrimp bowl instead. After a 40 to 45 minute wait I finally received my food. I get back to work and take a bite and this is the hottest and most spicy food I've ate. My stomach is immediately in distress and I am sweating profusely. I call back and she remembers me and my order and says she is sorry about it, but not once did she say come back and we will make it right. Not that I wanted another, but its like we don't care about you or your wasted time and money. That alone tells me that this is the first and last time I will visit this place.

Great flavors. Food was delicious. My only complaint is that it was a bit spicy for my taste. The oxtail and even the cabbage had a spicy kick. Would I go back? You better believe it.

The food is on point, the jerk spice is just right, not too much or too little. Food will definitely put u to sleep after. Nice place to chill enjoy your food as u listen to Jamaican jams. Gets smoky in the place from all the cooking, but you'll leave feeling fulfilled.

The meal was awesome! I ordered fried wings with cabbage/collars green combo, Mac n cheese . I ordered wings because it was a littler early in the day for oxtails. The wings were freshly prepared and hot! The greens were delicious!! The Mac n cheese was delicious. Small piece of delicious cornbread. No fountain or canned beverage…there were many varieties of Jamaican drinks costing close to $5. Only reason for less than 5 rating.
My spouse ordered jerk chicken. Delicious! Manage/collard and yams. He says his meal was great! He cleaned his plate! This is unusual. Long review. Great meal. Good music. Need fountain or can beverages.
Cashier was ok, just dry. Not a problem. I have told others. I will return! Few tables. Served as takeout but we got a table.

Food was really good. Very flavorful and great sized portions for what you pay. However we did wait an 1hr for the food. Granted this was during lunch hour so it may have just been why the wait was long. Service was alright wasn’t the worst wasn’t the best. But overall I would definitely recommend to a friend. I got the Catfish with mac and cheese and plantains and my husband tried the oxtail with jerk chicken and the parmesan frys. They were both very good! We will be back again. Hoping next time the wait isn’t long!

Horrible service!!! They've never ever posted hours on the door and NEVER answer the phone. Also the hours online are NOT accurate as they close before the online hours. PLEASE DO BETTER as a business if you want repeat business!!! I do not recommend this business at all !!! I hope the new year brings about positive change so this establishment can thrive all the way around!
