I decided to finally try Where’s The Jerk, as someone I know said it was good. I purchased jerk chicken with peas and rice with cabbage. I have yet to have authentic tasting Jamaican cuisine in NC, but maybe one other place. Anyways, I get home and start eating. There wasn’t much heat until I put on the extra sauce. The peas and rice need gravy on it or more gravy. The sauce did bring the heat. So, of course, I’m digging around for my plantains. Guess what, NO PLANTAINS to help knock down the heat. When I’m a new patron of a restaurant, I expect to get what comes with it without having to check behind someone. The wait time was a bit lengthy. I will be back to purchase another jerk chicken meal and will check my meal before I leave. The portions were good. I was able to eat from my plate 3 or 4 times before I finished it.

Came during lunch and they were out of most of their sides and only had one veggie available cabbage, which I’m allergic to. No turkey collards, no green beans, and mac & cheese would’ve taken an hour. I asked if they could at least comp a drink, but they said no. That part especially rubbed me the wrong way—it felt like there was very little consideration or hospitality, especially given the situation. Food was hot, but hospitality and prep need serious improvement.

I came for Soul Food Sunday and ordered the turkey wing with collard greens. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and the portion size was perfect. The amount of food you get for the price is a great value. I just wish they offered Soul Food Sundays more often!

Order your food online. We waited for an hour for a sub sandwich and they told us they forgot the order. My plate was ready in 15 minutes my friends plate was never prepared. This is my second visit. My first visit went well as I ordered online and my food was ready when I got there. The food is really good. Just need assistance getting the orders out.

Food is really really good but you will wait 45min to a 1hr for your food and everytime I have ordered they took forever and something is missing. I stop going because they are so slow but the food is worth your money if u get everything u ordered.

This store is so unprofessional. I traveled from a whole other city to eat here and they are closed on a Monday at 1:30 pm. Their website and google site say they are open from 11:30am to 8pm Monday through Saturday. If you are closed on Mondays update your information to reflect your hours of operation.
EVERYTHING IS MADE TO ORDER! it’s gonna be a long wait lol but once you get your food it’s definitely gonna be hot and fresh and the plates are sooo full they definitely give you your money’s worth.

Food was decent. However, I had to repeat my order 7 times because the cashier struggled comprehending the order. Then after I waited 20 minutes for my order, he still missed half of the order. I would highly recommend someone with better hearing and understanding to take orders. Or get a quieter fan to cool the sitting area.

The egg rolls are the best thing on the menu! Jerk chicken unfortunately is not good, very dry and tastes burnt, just save yourself. Cabbage is great if you like it sweet. Macaroni was not baked so don’t expect it to be, wasn’t anything special. Again, get the egg rolls!!
