We just moved into the area. We are big time seafood lovers. Oysters are always number one on my list. They were amazing. They did run out of the Oysters Rock but just another reason to go back.
Tried the sushi oysters, saffron oysters, southern oysters rock, and bbq oysters. Also shared the hearty risotto with steak medallions, everything was absolutely amazing. Service was attentive & made the experience fun, miles behind the oyster bar took wonderful care of us. Music was good and it wasn't busy. Great for date night

Very impressive! This is an incredible restaurant offering unique flavor combinations for the oysters — raw and cooked oysters available! I LOVED all 3 that I tried: Saffron oysters, Southern oysters rock and sushi oysters. The sushi oysters were my favorite, though, with wasabi and ginger. ? The small plates are equally pleasing — the pimento cheese board and crab dip are delicious. The pimento cheese is covered in bacon! ? The house-made pita chips are wonderfully crispy and melt in your mouth. This restaurant is a gem! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food is great! Love the atmosphere! You can look out on Pembroke creek for a great romantic night! Sometimes waitress are slow, but usually ok.

I was chased out of the restaurant by your "Head Chef Mitchell " for completing a server. Stupid girl Noone was poaching. Apparently you don't know a complement.

I'm sorry, but this is hands-down one of the best restaurants in North Carolina. I'm from the Deep South, so I know a thing or two about fresh and delicious food...I beg that you trust my judgment! The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is wonderful and crazy courteous. The ambience and views are nice and cozy. I went two nights in a row as I was amazingly impressed by the food, drinks and home-grown atmosphere of this spot. Keep it up Edenton Oyster bar!
Foods great, service is always timely and the view at the marina is great. One of our favorites!

In a town with some really great dining options, the Edenton Bay Oyster Bar is a stand out. From the great service provided by the lovely Taylor, to the delicious beverages, to the imaginative, incredibly fresh dishes created by the Oyster Bar's gifted executive chef and lovely decor, this is an experience you must not miss. Can't wait to come back!!

3rd time visiting this excellent bistro style restaurant by the marina. We sat at the bar this time and had excellent service and engagement from Dillon the Bartender. One of the owners also stopped to chat with us for a while as well. The steamed shrimp were perfectly cooked, and we thoroughly enjoyed the salmon, ahi wraps, soup and salads. Great experience and recommend highly for any occasion, particularly for business meals during the week. Worth the drive from any of the nearby Northeastern North Carolina rura local business visits. The team wants to impress!
What we didn’t care for; we were a party of 8 with 2 children. We were informed that they only used one bill for a party that large. With 4 families, it made it impossible to square up. Plus, it was a birthday celebration and was told there would be. $10 fee for bringing our own cake and then charged us $15. Really not an accommodating restaurant. We all agreed that we wouldn’t be back.

We had a nice big table by the window. Waitress was quick to arrive and offer us drinks. Hubby got a local IPA which he enjoyed. Other friends got a blood orange martini, which looked pretty but seemed more on the grapefruit side. I had a side salad to start with citrus vinegarette. The salad was good as was the dressing. Then I had the blackened tacos. They were delicious. My only reason for giving four stars is that for $16 you should get a side or three tacos or bread or hushpuppies on the table. I felt like this restaurant was not generous in that way. Our meal was delicious with excellent service. . . .

A friend and I stopped in around 8 pm. The service was excellent from beginning to end. I had 3 sushi oysters, the crab cakes with the house salad. I was very satisfied with all of it! The staff was very kind and friendly. Found a new favorite place.

Call at 3pm to make reservations! I am so glad we got the tip to call since there isn’t an option online. Since we have a child, we booked for 5:30 at opening and reservations were full until 8, they accepted walk ins for the bar and people were waiting to get in. The food did take a while to come out (which is not indicative to service yall! They are separate! Our server was lovely and kind), but we have noticed that with most restaurants in Edenton. BUT, as a chef myself I can tell you the food was AMAZING. I was speechless. We ordered the Southern Oysters Rock, which I could have eaten a dozen myself. I had the scallops that were seared to perfection and so delicate, came with risotto and spinach and got wedge salad. My husband had the ribeye and they were more than happy to leave the red wine sauce off (he does not do any alcohol), came with broccolini, potatoes and he chose the chowder, which he said was super flavorful, and my son had the kids Mac and Cheese which he ate every bit of. So bottom line, make a reservation, don’t be in a rush and enjoy some delicious food.
