Excellent customer service, they always greet you with a smile. The food is delicious, the best sandwiches in my opinion. Fresh bread, produce, meats and cheeses which makes all of their dishes excellent. The Mediterranean and Edentonian are my favorite.

I’m so happy I discovered this restaurant! I went in for the first time today and got a classic gyro 🥙
I struck gold! The ingredients were all fresh and made from scratch. At a great price as well. I highly recommend coming here. I look forward to trying their chicken parm and all their other options. Reminds me of home ❤️

Picked up the Chicken Parm today for lunch! Plenty of delicious food to have the other half for dinner!! Can’t wait to go to karaoke!!
The best Sub I’ve ever had! The homemade Bread is Delicious! If you haven’t been, you’re missing out big time! Service is outstanding as well
Delicious and generous sandwiches!
Ok, I am not one to normally write a review so bear with me. The sandwich was exceptional. I had the sandwich titled, “The Edentonian.” I was unsure how the ingredients would complement one another as it had pimento cheese with Cole slaw among other meats and cheeses. My skepticism was soon overcome on the first bite. I was very happy with in inside of the sandwich but what put it over the top was the in-house made French bread that made me think of a fresh New Orleans Po-Boy. The food was good enough that have already made plans to go again tomorrow which will be my final day in town. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for a truly great lunch spot/sandwich and give them a try. I am SO glad I did..
Do not be put off by the eclectic interior; it is just a laid back place. We have eaten at Emilio’s twice this week because his sandwiches are just that good. My wife and I can attest to the Authentic Greek Gyro, Mexican, Carolina Cuban, and the Mediterranean. Each sandwich, except the Gyro (pita), begins with the French Baguette roll/bread which is incredible. The ingredients are fresh and each sandwich pops with flavor. This is a must lunch visit when in Edenton! The cashier and Emilio are personable and friendly. Just a note: this is a CASH ONLY establishment. I have attached a photo of their menu and our sandwiches.
Delicious sandwiches and great service! Had a crabcake sandwich...reminded me of Baltimore. First decent crabcake I've had since moving to North Carolina! Yummm....
Wanted to try this place on a Saturday, during candle light tour. Food was outstanding. The shop was very cluttered. The lady taking orders had an attitude like anyone who came in was a burden to her. She was even mean to the employees. The way you ordered and paid was very chaotic. They also had a child working his butt off,, which was weird. If the food wasn't as good as it was I wouldn't go back.

We rolled into Edenton right around lunchtime and had already figured on trying Emilio's General Store for lunch. It was terrific! Emilio's gave us our first inkling of how friendly Edenton is. It's a very relaxed little shop, run by Emilio who makes the sandwiches and another guy who takes orders, takes money, cleans up, etc. Both are really laid back. I had the Carolina Cuban sandwich, which consisted of ham, pulled pork, coleslaw, and pickles on a toasted bun. Best Cuban I ever had! My wife had the vegetarian sandwich, with all kinds of veggies, and really liked it! There are assorted soft drinks in a fridge, as well as chips you can purchase separately.
We were recommended to eat at Emilio’s. What a surprise! A simple menu but delicious sandwiches made with top ingredients and freshly made bread. What a treat!!
We were in Edenton for a few days and came across this sandwich shop. It is a little run-down but clean. I got a Gyro for lunch and the sandwich was plenty for lunch. The gyro was good but I think the meat was frozen which hurts the flavor. It was prepared well and other than the meat no complaints. If I had to order again I think I would have gone with the Italian sandwich. While we were there we found out that Emilio worked with Julia Child as evidenced by a picture he has hanging in the restaurant. If you are in Edenton this sandwich shop is worth the vist. It is only open for a few hours and noon so don't delay.
I love the Greek Gyro. I looked at the ratings and can only imagine how crappy the people are who rated this place badly. So undeserved.
Really enjoyed our meal here. The North Carolina BBQ Cuban sandwich was top notch. And the Greek salad was a delight.
