This summer, I had the opportunity to eat at Mamasita's in Edenton, NC several times, and each visit was nothing short of fantastic! The restaurant serves authentic Mexican food, and the quality and flavour of every dish really stand out.
To start, I ordered the spinach dip, which was creamy, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned—just the right way to kick off the meal. For dinner, I couldn’t resist the Pollo San Miguel. The tender chicken breast was grilled to perfection and topped with a savoury mix of cooked onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and bell peppers, all smothered in melted Jack cheese. It was served with Mexican rice, beans, and warm tortillas, creating a truly flavorful and hearty dish. The portion was generous and worth every penny. To drink, I had the Agua Horchata, a refreshing, cinnamon-spiced rice drink that paired wonderfully with the meal.
The ambiance at Mamasita’s is always welcoming and relaxed, with vibrant decor that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Mexico. The service is consistently excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who are happy to make recommendations and ensure that every visit is enjoyable.
Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a full meal, Mamasita’s delivers every time. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Edenton!

Servers are always accommodating and available to answer any questions you may have. Some places seem like the staff is being nice just to get a good tip, but not Mamasitas. The staff feels like a family and they want you to feel like family. The food is always hot and fresh. The menu is diverse and delicious. The owner is always friendly and welcoming every time we go. We will be life long customers!

Very nice experience. Staff was excellent and very helpful.Food was really good.I had a meal chicken Mexicano. It had nice grilled veggies sauted chicken and rice. I added some of their white cheese sauce. It was really good. My mom had the combo #1. She ate all but the rice but she doesn't eat rice lol. They had a little robot that brought your meals from the kitchen. It was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Also the cost was very reasonable.. We are glad we went and will be back.
Parking: Big parking lot at a shopping center.
Kid-friendliness: There is a little robot that brings your food from the kitchen. Chips with cheese dip.
Wheelchair accessibility: There were handicap parking also plenty of room to move around. And tables you can put a wheelchair right up to.
