Bout Time is no longer there/ went out of business. But a couple of new businesses have moved in & have some wonderful goodies to offer customers. Be sure to go by & check them out! Quaint, old-fashioned type location with several small businesses.
Best country food ever. They have relocated but I heard they aren't done yet.

We were visiting from Virginia Beach and found this gem of a restaurant. The food was amazing! Great home cooked food. The service was out of this world. The cabbage, the Mac and cheese and fried smothered pork chops were the best. Make sure you stop and eat here. You will not regret it. I would give it a 10 stars if I could.

Great cheesesteak and fries, one of the best I’ve had. Hot and quick. Friendly service. Great little spot if you’re passing through or work/live in the area.
An interesting little place! Felt like a homemade, southern and quintessential Hertford experience. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, we really enjoyed them. It’s a very small establishment, and it was busy the whole time we were there. I am really hoping the owners can see the need for a place like this in downtown Hertford and expand the seating! Service was a little slow but we were okay with that, as we were wanting to enjoy a long lunch out. I enjoyed the food, especially for the super reasonable prices!
Me and a couple of friends stopped in here one afternoon. Most everything was closing up early due to a Christmas event starting soon. We were limited at what we could order, because the person (I think the owner) was by himself. He was very nice and explained what options we could choose from. The sandwiches were decent, but the slice of cheesecake was well worth the stop here. It was quite yummy, fairly priced and a very large portion.
Great wait staff. Best honey bbq wings I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Been living here since 2010.The BEST food in Hertford to date. Great customer service. When placing orders over the phone, they never rush and make you feel as if youre family. All fresh food, hand made to order and from scratch. No frozen or false adverisement, as has been the case in this area. By far surpasses expectation. 10/10 with every single menu item ordered. In fact, it is now my goal to try every single item on the menu across the board! Im not done with one day's items without thinking about what I'll order the next time. Prices are just as great!

This little dinner is kind of a hidden gem! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious, cook to order! We are a family of four and ate here for under $50. Our 6yro even ate her food, this was exceptional beining she is very picky!
The Cobb salad is one of thr best I've had- fresh romaine, grilled chicken, bacon, egg, avacado, crumbled blue cheese and some really good blue cheese on the side made this salad scrumptious!!! My husband had a large cheesesteak with onions and provolone and he lived in Philly for years but said the Bout Thyme sandwich stood up to a Philly steak just fine! Wr can't wait to try some of their other items!
