Circle II Restaurant

We have been several times now, and the food and service are 5 star quality. We mostly get breakfast food, and of all it the pancakes and waffles seem to be the favorite with our group. The staff are fast and efficient but still very friendly. We will be back as often as possible.

Good food, good service.

We were in Elizabeth City for several days and once we discovered The Circle II we never went anywhere else for food. Absolutely everything we ordered was delicious from the Hamburger Steak (which was recommended by several other customers) to the Chicken Fried Steak, to the Corn Nuggets*?) to the Baby Lima Beans to etc, etc, etc., you name it and it was good. Truly reminded me of my Grandmother's cooking. Do yourself a favor and try this place...you won't be sorry!!! Oh, and did I mention they serve man sized servings? You won't leave there hungry, that's for sure!

Our party of 6 arrived during a very busy time but you wouldn't know it by how quickly we were seated. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. Our food was served hot, fresh, and fast. Every plate was cleaned! We will definitely pay them a visit again soon!

The breakfast gone hit every time! But the service sucks. I sat there forever with people passing me until one sweet older lady asked if I had been helped. I saw her kinda give the younger girls a look like what are y'all doing??? But then I noticed the girl that came to me rolled her eyes and kind of didn't want to be bothered. So needless to say I won't be back there again.

As expected for a late Saturday morning it was very busy, however we had to wait over an hour for a table for five, crammed with other guest at the door and not the first time we've experienced that.And then it took fifteen minutes to give our order and forty-five minutes to get our food, then for it to be cold. And no I didn't complain other then to ask if the waitress could pop mine in the microwave. Didn't complain because the staff is always absolutely amazing. So the one star is really because of the wait time and the food that was cold and not good.

The Circle II was sold a few years back and the restaurant looks better. We would go there for breakfast every weekend. The food is good but they changed the home fries, not good. They feel like when they heat them back up, they pop them on the griddle and steam them. Before, they were the best home fries we ever had. They were seasoned, had some crisp to them (like they were fried in the griddle, not steamed), and of you added pinions they were caramelized, worth the exert $1.25. We quint be going back.

The service is terrible. Get told to sit anywhere. Then it took for ever to get the menu. We get the menu then get asked what we want to order. We just got the damn menu. The drive was nasty. The tea had a sour taste. It was just money wasted.

Whoa. Did not expect their cheeseburgers to be so good! Will certainly go back just to try a new one as they have a large selection of burgers.
