My husband & I have been traveling to Elizabeth city mon-fri for 13weeks for work. We have eaten at City grille every single week we have been down there. We have loved most of the food we have tried. Some of my favorites would have to be the Ham, turkey, bacon club sandwich , the city grille burger, the slaw, fried okra & Mac n chz & the carrot cake is the best I've ever had. I just had the WORST experience at The City Grille! I took my kids there for lunch, we ordered a soda and two hot chocolates. The ice had slime on the surface of my drink (like the dirty soda machine slime) and my kids “hot chocolate” was warm chocolate milk. At this point I asked our waitress to cancel our food order we need to pay for our drinks and leave. She then gave me an attitude saying she would have to pay for the order if I don’t.
