I would give this a five souly based on our waiter Brian he is the best ever. However the cook in the back was very rude and nasty. If I was the owner I would not keep him there. He's gonna run off people.Mind you I have been here several times with my family and not sure we will go back if things don't change.

Waited 30 min to be seated and during this time was ignored. Waited an hour to get food. Shannon the bust boy was the highlight of our day. He went above and beyond for us and other customers. He was treated not so well by fellow workers because he was doing their job when they chose not to. Shannon would be the only reason we would come back to the establishment.

Great food however one of the waitres was very opinionated. She gave the impression she didn't want to be there or that she liked customers. 1st she said I'm going to blow the phone up, slamming cups. She also gave a impression she was angry because the place was busy. Then she tells me she has no dingle change (urban slang for no underwear). It was very uncomfortable for my wife, daughter and me. Definitely a change from our visit 7 months ago.

An old school Cafe. A place that's been around maybe since Moses was a lad. It shows it's age a bit but so do I... It's not a fancy bistro, I don't think I saw a hipster anywhere but the coffee was fresh and hot and the breakfast menu was solid. Its my understanding it is breakfast only these daysI had the $8 breakfast. EGGS over medium cooked perfectly (not every place gets it right , sausage, toast and home fries. No frills bells or whistles just a solid breakfast with good service for a reasonable price. A reasonable price for the 2023/2024 economy. Happy New Years everybody.

Legit this is the best breakfast place in EC. Service is great, everyone is super friendly and make the place feel very down-home. Got the Dirty Bird and can’t recommend it enough, the home fries and biscuit are absolutely killer. Definitely will return in the future.

Our lunch was delicious and everyone was happy with what they ordered. We tried the jambalaya, the wings, a BLT, and tomato-basil soup. Everything was excellent and well-priced! Service was quick and friendly. My only concern is that the bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible as they have the half-width doors. We'd absolutely come here again, and we're looking forward to trying out the breakfast menu.

Breakfast was excellent! The only restaurant in town with real butter! The eggs are cooked exactly as ordered and the service and hospitality are amazing! Thank you Tina and Dallas! Perfect place to have breakfast and study for a test!!

Best breakfast place in town.

Terrible experience. I ate here a few years ago a bragged about how good they were. But the last few times I ate here was not good at all. And yesterday....TERRIBLE. The service sucked. To not be busy with only a few tables seated. Maybe 4 tables seated on my side and I'm not sure about the other side. I host should have took orders instead of looking like a stuck up Karen. It took 4 minutes to get a cup of coffee because they ran out. How do you run out of fresh coffee? Then another 16 minutes to get my order taken. And the cook must love hitting the bell. It was nonstop ringing from the kitchen. NOT TO MENTION THE POTATOES UNDERCOOKED AND BACON TASTED OLD. Then when I went to pay it took well over 10 minutes before I could get them to take my money because they couldn't figure out the computer. SAVE YOU MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE. Elizabeth City has much better breakfast spots than this place.

Have been there for breakfast and lunch a half dozen times, usually with several kids. Everyone has been happy with the food and service every time we've been. If you like a classic diner feel with home cooked style food, you'll like this place.
