I had a frozen lime margarita, which is always great. For dinner I ordered a azteca burrito, it had steak, chicken, shrimp and sauteed green peppers, onions and that's all. The top was laced with cheese sauce, as well as a red enchilada and Verde sauce. This was absolutely delicious ? Food was delicious! The chips are perfectly seasoned, drinks are beautifully presented plus they make guacamole in front of you so you know it’s fresh. The atmosphere is wonderful and makes you feel like you’re vacationing in Mexico. Service is very attentive. If I could give this place 100 stars I totally would!!

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant we have found since relocating to the Outer Banks area. The meals we ordered were plentiful and bursting with phenomenal flavor! Salsa and chips are also so fresh and have a clean crisp flavor! Plenty of friendly staff and they all look out for each other attending the tables. Our waiter was great! He was friendly, had a great sense of humor and always made sure everything was good, frequently asking if we needed anything. Mi Cancun is run extremely efficiently! Highly recommend!
The food is great and the service is faster. I've been here about 10 times and haven't had a bad experience yet. It doesn't have the aesthetics of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. But it wins in every other category. A++

This is possibly the best Mexican Restaurant we have been to! Delicious homemade table side quacamole, and the staff is always hustling to make sure everyone is taken care of. My personal favorite is the Chile Releno', the meat served with it and the other choices like , taco, burrito, enchilada, etc., is very tasty. We drive from Moyock, and have had no regrets, and every one we have brought there has agreed with the above. Their margarita is my Wife's favorite and only takes one to put a smile on her beautiful face! I do want to defend some reviews based on the language barrier, we have had to make sure they understand us sometimes, but this is much better than going to Mexico and cheaper, those people would not complain if they were there. Most can fluently speak two languages, can you? For those who cited this Go to "Taco Bell" and that way we can get seated earlier to enjoy the "authenticity" and culture that produces such a wonderful experience.
