Great Food!

A little restaurant with many local customers—waitresses greeted several people by name as they walk in, and quite a few people sat down and ordered right away without even looking at the menu.

You just walk in, find a seat, and sit down. Someone will come to you and bring you the menu. The waitresses are very friendly and highly efficient. There are roughly 30 tables and an open kitchen, so if you sit at the bar area, you can watch the chef cook. It's very busy—packed by 5 pm on a Friday. We ended up waiting a while for our food.

We ordered the seafood platter (all fried) to share. The price can't be beaten. The food was overall okay, flounder had some bones in there and other fried items tasted as expected. BUT, the devil crab was really delicious. We'd probably reorder that if we ever return.

Ordered beef tip medium and they were beyond well done and not very flavorful to pricey to be a disappointment

Old building. A lot of fried comfort food. Nothing special. Went their because of high ratings. Don't believe them.

It’s one of the best places around to eat. The Philly cheesesteaks and the beef tips are well known to be really good here.

Classic, well worn, but clean locals small diner. Scalding hot water in clean bathrooms on the outside of building. This place has been around for a good while. Highly recommend the Chuck wagon sandwich! Portions are generous, prices fair, and great service. A classic! Instead of paying $3 for a side of fries, I opted for the 3 veggies for $5. Fried okra very good, canned green beans were fine, and the Mac-n-cheese a bit too goopy, but OK. It was a plategul and had a roll. That plus the sandwich was more than this 200# man could eat. All for $10!!

Kid-friendliness: Good family place.

Wheelchair accessibility: Tables accommodate.
