If you’re a veteran don’t go here the female owner doesn’t respect you, was told that I had to eat in to receive military discount then when I proceeded to do that she tells me at the checkout that she can charge me whatever she wants, then the plate I choose she changed ged it from discounted to we don’t discount that meal.watch yall money with this place

I 🫶🏾 Going Here. The Store has affordable prices on food and items. This Restaurant is my favorite place to eat. The Homemade Guacamole is my favorite item on the menu as well as the Tamales 🫔 😋

I try to save my reviews for praise, but I was so disappointed in the service of this restaurant. I had one of the worst dining experiences here, on Father’s Day nonetheless. I understand that it is an extremely busy day for the service industry (I’ve worked in front of house for 7 years,) but some things are intolerable.
The good: The food was outstanding! The tamales, the bbq beef, the queso & chips were great! Management was polite, but the only thing he could do to help the dining experience was a free piece of cake. By the time it was offered, we were beyond ready to leave.
The bad: I had an old fashioned; for some reason it contained soda water and orange purée. That was a first for me! Wasn’t a terrible drink, it just was not what i ordered. My boyfriend’s daughter’s tea remained empty for 20 minutes.
The ugly: The servers slammed multiple plates down on the table with no apology, audibly sighed every time we requested anything (like to order a beer or get more chips). We had one server ask if we needed anything, and she briskly walked off before we could answer. Any other time we needed anything, we had to flag down the staff. I wish we would have spent our evening elsewhere, but at least the food was great.

Food was great. Service was awful waiter took our drinks order brought it to us took our order and he was gone ran out of soda no one checked on us the girls passing by look at us and keep on going this was not the first time we got horrible service and we just kept going back but no more I’m done this time. When we went to pay the waiter brought our ticket to the register we told them about the service and she still wanted to know if I was going to leave a tip I said NO couldn’t even get a to go box so half of my meal was left on the table. BYE BYE Mango Peel you need to do better.

If i could leave a lower rating i would. I have given this place multiple chances to hopefully get better. Years ago they started out great. Now, I can't get my order made the way I ask. When I call, no one can speak English well enough to understand what I am asking. They have overcharged me 4 times and almost refused to fix it. They fix my orders when it's wrong but it is wrong every time that I call in. If you have a business in the food industry, you should have someone behind the phone that can take everyone's order without any confusion and without a language barrier. I don't discriminate but I do want my food correctly made if I'm paying over 50 dollars every time I call. Fix you business. Because I'm letting everyone know that your restaurant is a joke.
