Camping at Riverwalk RV Park. We out for breakfast and it was superbly done. Service was just right. It was busy and had 12 Bridesmaids for a “Bloody Mary Breakfast too. I chose the country breakfast: Homemade Biscuits, grits, scrambled eggs, country ham, bacon and sausage. The highlight was “SOS” on biscuits and the cooked apples were delicious. Highly recommend for breakfast.
Parking: Plentiful, it’s in downtown Elkin, NC near the outdoor festival area and outdoor amphitheater.

It's so refreshing to visit a restaurant with friendly and accommodating service. We stopped by for a to go order after a our walk. We ordered everything special and off the menu to accommodate the hubby's who stayed behind. The staff was so friendly and helpful with all our specialness. The food was excellent! We will be back. Thank you for your patience this am.

Omg, what a hidden gem. This place is a must try. The menu was so creative. Hands down the best restaurant in Elkin. We tried several items on the menu, Quiche, Crab Dip, Chicken and Waffles, Muffaletta, Key Lime Pie, and. Strawberry Shortcake dessert. I had PLENTY of leftovers. The prices were so reasonable for this caliber of food. Our bill was $50 for all of those dishes. The food quality was the BEST in town. Fresh, creative, affordable and so tasty.
Recommended dishes: Muffaletta
Walked in on a Friday morning, and not crowded, just one person seated & waiting on his food. But they had outdoor seating too, so we chose that for the weather was great.
Waitress was very attentive & brought drinks right away. The food came out quickly & both dishes - chicken & waffles and the Rueben were very good.
I am not often in Elkin when the Yellow Door is open - serving Breakfast ? , Lunch & Brunch, closing early afternoon. But certainly will come back for more meals when we can.

Super cute place serving soul food/comfort food. Think of The Yellow Door Café as an elevated meat and three. We had a party of four, everyone ordered something different and absolutely loved every bite! The service was fantastic as well. We look forward to returning to Elkin and TYDC will be on our itinerary. ??
Parking: Just off Main Street with plenty of parking.

They don’t deserve anymore of my time. I’ll summarize my experience quickly with how I felt walking out of the door after my meal. Hated and embarrassed and disappointed
Great brunch & sandwich place. A bit small & can get crowded.

Some of the best chicken and waffles
Kid-friendliness: My son ate with me and enjoyed his breakfast, no kid specific meals, he’s taking some home. Great breakfast on the way home from camping.
