Shak's grill

This was our 1st time at Shak's. Food was great, service was on point, pricing in range. Very nice clean atmosphere.It was not crowded but had a lot of take-outs and pick-ups. At this time they are hiring for all positions. Good opportunity, summer job for students or anyone.Our waitress had never worked this environment and on the job to weeks. You wouldn't have known it. Was asked to bring hush puppies and slaw to a family luncheon. Since I was coming from out of town and this place was close to my destination I decided to get take out from Shak's. Hush puppies were nice and hot. Tasted like they were preformed and frozen vs fresh, but they were still good. As a born and raised AO local. And yeah this is AO not elon. Hear that, not "elon". I remember eating at the same place when I was my kids age. Now it's had a name change at some point. But it still feels the same. The food is great. You're not rushed. The BBQ is amazing. Burgers are fresh. Prices are wonderful.These days tho, staff is a big thing. At least for us.
