Literally the WORST customer service experience. I stopped by with my boyfriend to grab a quick drink and some breakfast after the Emerald Isle garage sale. No greeting upon entering, we were the only people there and the guy at the counter was just staring in silence, as we walked up (trying to take everything in as the selection of items are a little overwhelming ). I greeted him FIRST then asked for a matcha drink and a smoothie. This was my very first time here and I did not realize certain things were self serve. As I asked if they had any crossaints, the response was “whatever we have over there is all we have” I then said “where? Im sorry this is my first time here like I said” and he just had the worse attitude in the world. I told him forget it, i didnt even want food at that point. As we waited for the drinks I walked to the pastry section and they indeed had crossaints… I dont understand why he couldnt say “yes, we have them over there”. Ive worked in sales for years, this experience was terrible. I dont know how this place can make money with such a negative energy serving people.. I definitely wont be back.

The coffee is awful. If you like coffee don’t go here! The service wasn’t good either. I can normally push through a bad cup of coffee, but I can’t drink what was served. It’s watery and doesn’t even taste like coffee. It has tea vibes.
Coffee was expensive for the portion and wasn’t very good. My girlfriend got a peppermint flavored one and it tasted like water with a mint dropped in it.
The guy behind the counter was also not very friendly and it was quite awkward.
A lot of their general store merchandise is legitimately Dollar Tree items that have the price doubled.

If you are looking for a good coffee this just isn’t the place.
I ordered a latte here and it was honestly so terrible and watery I couldn’t drink it. It also took all of 30 second to make, I don’t think they use a machine or anything to make it and it tasted like it. The man who made it also wasn’t rude but just wasn’t super friendly. They did have other things in the store that looked good but I didn’t try them so can’t speak on but maybe give it a try if you’re looking for pastries or candies.

Sadly the pastries weren’t cooked all the way and the coffee was weak. Not very good.
I wish I had read the reviews first. Smoothies were bad, coffee was sad and the staff wasn’t glad….won’t be back!
Pastry was good but server was not friendly to my group.

There was a lack of warmth and friendliness at the counter. Buying a toasted bagel is a 4 step process- pick your bagel out of an open bin, take it to the counter to pay and get your single serving cream cheese packet, take it to another counter to slice with a plastic knife, then toast it ( hopefully the 2 halves are equal so they fit in the toaster), then go to a table and spread the cream cheese. The bagel was ok.

I went thinking a local coffee shop could make a frozen mocha and a latte. I was wrong. The frozen mocha was made by scooping powder. The latte was so hot it ruined the milk (gross froth instead of silky goodness) and there was no grinding of fresh espresso. I think it was hot milk and drip coffee. We threw out both drinks and went home to make coffee from a k-cup. I am totally ok paying $16 for coffee drinking if it is good but it was horrible. I do not recommend. Take pride in your product and make it better!
Service - no one said hello when we walked in or up to the counter. I understand there is a worker shortage but a simple hello or hi we will be right with you goes a long way.
Atmosphere- signs everywhere telling you what to do that don’t make you feel welcome. Signs on all of the table say the shop closes at 2pm. Screams get out not welcome and I was there at 7:30am.

Got a frozen key lime pie. It looks like cheesecake, but rest assured it is key lime pie. And the sales associate was so pleasant and helpful!

Advertised as a Bagel shop but we came in at 8AM to find barely any left. No specialty sandwiches like a bacon egg and cheese or anything. You have to cut and toast your own bagel and you’re given pre packaged butter and cream cheese. Request a latte and got brewed coffee topped with steamed milk. My boyfriend asked for an americano with just a little water and got a full 16 ounces after repeatedly asking for just a double shot with a little water and when we asked to have it remade the man was rude and condescending . After specifically telling us he knew how to make an americano. Ultimately what we took from this was, bad bagels, bad coffee and bad attitudes. Wouldn’t recommend.

We stopped in on our way off the island. Muffins and pastrys were all good. Coffee was not great. I wish I would had read the reviews. One in our party said it was worse than hotel coffee and one said it tasted like water. Cute store just a disappointment on the coffee.

We ordered two cakes - one coconut and one strawberry shortcake. The process was extremely easy, and the cakes both were delicious and exceeded expectations. Everyone we were in contact with was extremely polite and kind including helping to carry cakes out to the car. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Underwhelming experience. Self-serve options throughout the store, but labeling/signs unclear - was fussed at when grabbing something that appeared as self-serve but no alternatives offered until I inquired. Female staff member was very kind however. Bagels smell good.
Edit - In response to 4 J’s response to original post.
You actually did not respond or speak when we asked if you had any at the counter. You stared at us and your kind staff member did respond to our question. We did try to grab the cream cheese BEFORE anything was said to us. It was simply a misunderstanding as we did not see the sign. We would be happy to grab cream cheese from wherever the preferred location was - which was not communicated verbally after we were made aware those “were not for customers,” but it was the tone and intensity of this instruction that was so off-putting and rude. Maybe the owner should take a continuing education course in customer service, this may benefit the business overall.
