“Food was amazing, We got the grilled Yellowfin tuna sandwich, cucumber tomato salad, grilled shrimp tacos and onion rings. Service was great, but the wait was very long just to place the order, after that food was out in 10 minutes. The atmosphere was very nice. Very limited parking, we kind of just got lucky with a spot.Parking: Very small amount of parking, most of the parking lot is reserved for other businesses in the area.”

“Popped in here on a cold February night on the island. Immediately the owner spotted us and gave a warm welcome. Throughout the night his attention to guests took center stage. Recognizing almost everyone he was quick to say hi, wave a hand and stop by the table to chat. He definitely made a mark on our visit! At his recommendation we ordered the expresso martini and smoky old fashioned. Both were delicious and followed by more. There was no food service being off season, but we were invited to order from a neighboring restaurant. Soon the owner was serving popcorn hot off the popper to the patrons. Great treat to accompany cocktails. This place has a great local vibe, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the locals will keep Bar 1957 around for a long time. I’ll be there for sure!”

“Solid chill spot! Have been here a few times and always have enjoyed the frozen drinks. Place to play games in the back or chill around the bar area. Good drinks for a hot summer day!”

“8/10 - Dog friendly white sand outside area with shaded tables. Amazing service by Brittney. Fish tacos $21, seared Tuna $17, Crab Boil $42. Delicious seafood but the value is lacking, maybe expensive because of location next to pier.”

“I absolutely love this little diner. It’s so cute and cozy. The food is amazing! The people are so nice!! And they have the cutest little store section. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I absolutely would. This has 100% become one of my husbands and I favorite places on the island. I can’t wait to come back!”

“We LOVE No Name! We were so excited when they opened one closer to our house. I am not a thick crust girl, but I so enjoy their thick crust. I've tried their thin but ironically it doesn't do it for me. We get take out a lot and it's always delicious, but if you want the real experience, eat it on a picnic table as soon as it's ready. That's when the crust is at its best! We have tried other things but when we grab from No Name EI we are grabbing pizza! If you want a great burger, check their Morehead Location.”

“We especially liked the soups Egg drop/wonton soup and the Hot and Sour soup. Our main dishes were very good also. I, however, was disappointed with the eggroll filling. It appeared to be cabbage mush. I know you can do better than that!Parking: Parking has never been an issue”

“Kind of small place. We had a decent wait on a random Tuesday. However, taco Tuesday did not disappoint. Our family got wings, shrimp tacos and fish tacos and everything was delicious. I don't remember our servers name but she was great too. They have a shop side too but we didn't buy anything but it was neat. Will come back next time we're in the area.”

“Amazing atmosphere. Our waiter was very patient and attentive. Very polite and helpful. Food is amazing for the price. I feel it’s fair to say they have one of the best steaks in the area. I will go back.”

“We grabbed an early lunch here on a Sunday. The food was delicious. The only thing that raised questions was the pineapple and cranberries in the slaw. But different strokes for different folks, it was good still. As a vegan, I got a vegetable plate. Not many options, but ask the waiter about vegan options. I was surprised the Cucumber salad had mayo, but my friend enjoyed it.”

“Great local spot to grab breakfast and coffee. Lots of açaí bowl options and avocado ? toast. Tried several of the iced coffee and cold brew options that were perfect for a morning at the beach ?️”

“In addition to the slushies, they have lots of unique homemade (I believe) ice cream flavors. The coconut ice cream was not very coconuty, but the amaretto cherry was so good, and the dark chocolate mudslide one was delicious too. They are also right by the pier, so you can go out to the beach or pier to enjoy your ice cream.”

“Great Ben & Jerry's! Stopped in with my family for a nice treat.Originally thought that I couldn't have anything because I'm lactose intolerant, but.. THEY HAVE DAIRY-FREE / VEGAN OPTIONS! I was really pleased and surprised! The flavour I chose was the peanut butter and cookies. It was amazing, and became my new favourite dairy-free ice cream.”

“Coffee was great, service was great, asked for recommendations and they provided and the recommendation was good! Have been on the hunt for good coffee on Emerald Isle and this is the best we have found!”

“Such a fun place for kids (and adults) lots of candy to choose from and an awesome selection for ice cream and treats. The kids also enjoyed the toy selection, they have tons of cute stuffed animals to choose from for a little souvenir. The prices were good.”

“Great Little Burger joint. I love the Beach BurgerBoy vibe. Great diner feel with bench seats and mostly open kitchen. Service was great and food was fresh. The burgers were freshly made great home cooked flavor. The tables could have been cleaned a tad better but didn't really take anything from the experience. All in all a great retro feel with amazing food and courteous employees. Would highly recommend coming by. If youre telling yourself "I'm tired of pizza or where can I go that isn't $15 a plate on the beach?" This place is for you.”

“I’ve traveled to the area for work a bunch of times and always make sure I stop by this place. Really great service, amazing people! Great food and being beachfront is a plus. They went above and beyond for me and I am extremely thankful. I forgot to get a copy of my receipt that I needed for work and they took the time to look it up and text me a picture copy of it. That’s a lot to ask of a busy restaurant and really reflects on just how great the people are there. Thank you!”

“We are buying a home in Emerald Isle, NC and experimenting with finding favorite restaurants. Well Kathryn's turn out to be a place we will return to many times in the future. Service was friendly and the decor pleasant. Their martini menu is extensive and they have many of our favorite wines on the menu, too. The food was excellent and plentiful! The goat cheese appetizer was spectacular. There was not room for dessert but next time I will order lighter, maybe appetizer and soup or salad , so I can try a dessert. No reservations, a disappointment, but we will just have to go early or late to avoid the crowded dinner time. Love this new place!”

“The food was divine, and the only critical remark I have to make is, if you are going to buy a kids meal shrimp basket, just get the shrimp and let your Littles share your fries. There are only about 5 shrimp and not worth the price point.Other than that, the whole of the experience was great! The waitress was kind and attentive, the food was quick and tasty. We had the all American and stingray. French fries and squashed potatoes were the sides of choice. It was a pleasure to be sure.Vegetarian options: There are clearly marked options that are vegetarian.Parking: Lots of free parking when we went around 15:00.Kid-friendliness: Seating option were available- booth along with high chairs and boosters.
