“I eat at Star Fish Grill on the way back to Wilmington each time I have meetings in Cherry Point. They never disappoint. The decor always incorporates the holidays along with their nautical theme. It’s always fun to see what has changed each visit. The food has always been excellent and I always look forward to my next visit. The service goes without saying. If it wasn’t good I would not have been back so many times. I am known to be extremely picky and I can always find something new to try. The only disappointment is they are not in Wilmington.”

“Great little brewery!!! Decent variety of beers to try. We found this place on a flyer @ our hotel. Looked online & wanted to try the thin ice beer (tasted a lot like Girl Scouts thin mints). It was good but the stout o gold was the best!!! We have lived in Germany for years and since moving back to the U.S. and have found nothing comparable to a German dunkel until we tasted the stout o gold. Lots of good vibes here. Loved that this is a veteran owned establishment & dog friendly. I thought the prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a great place to try a variety of different beers and a good time with your partner or friends. Also, if looking for a good comparable German/Belgium beer then this is the place to go!”

“Was traveling down south from Massachusetts recently and I happened to stop in Newport, NC. While looking for a place to kick back and have a couple drinks I stumbled upon this bar. Once I walked in I was immediately greeted with kindness and generosity by their incredibly beautiful bar tender. She made sure I felt welcomed and her service was top notch!! She could also mix any drink I asked for!! They have corn hole, pool, darts, and a fire pit! The atmosphere was amazing throughout the night. I planned on only staying for 1-2 drinks, but I loved it so much I stayed till closing and stayed another night in town just to hang out there again. If you happen to be in the area of Newport, NC you want to visit this bar! You won’t regret it! And make sure you tip that wonderful bartender nicely because she deserves it!!”

They put unique and fresh toppings on everything!! And the father, son duo really rock!! We will definitely be going back regularly!! “Probably some of the Best Chinese I've ever had and I've had it coast to coast...steak in the beef w broccoli was so tender. Hands down Best egg foo young ever but that gravy woulda tasted good on a flip flop.! LoL When u can taste the hot sizzle from the wok in the crispy veggies it's sure to be awesome. Chef was a master to watch at wok while waiting. Hot and sour soup was excellent as well. Spent Approx $30 and we ate 4 meals plus 1 lunch. Great value. My Only issue was the low mein being very salty. Will know next time to ask for less sauce or msg. Overall super excited for local find.!”

I took the whole uneaten...no not even sampled to see if I liked the erroneous order...back up to the clean inside establishment and told them my woes politely. They handled the old and with the gave me ah new ? ? ranch with a smile. I tipped the sammich artists to show no hard feelings and went on my way. “My hubby & I had lunch for the 1st time (2/20/24) from the food truck. Wow!! The folks inside were so nice and the food was….well, DOUBLE WOW!!!!! We had oysters and shrimp and it was enough for 4 people! Beyond generous portions and fresh delicious seafood caught by commercial fisherman.!! A++++++”

“So I was in Havelock doing some work and saw this place on the map so we decided to stop by. The food was great. I had the Chamorro Fiesta with chicken and rice and shrimp patty’s and cucumbers. I couldn’t finish the portion I was given. And the lumpia was good too, so was the short ribs that my coworker let me try from his plate. I will definitely come back when I come to Havelock. The staff here were very friendly, very nice people. Stop by for good food.”

(Jared was our waiter).Appropriately priced.Best dish we ordered was the Garlic & Shrimp. It was divine! The garlic sauce was rich & velvety while the shrimp were expertly cleaned & prepared and cooked to perfection!Everything we ordered was great.As for the service, everyone (from the hostess, to the manager) was friendly and attentive. Even showing initiative when something was needed. You can tell that this restaurant is extremely well run & that the people who make this delicious food take pride in what they are doing.Decor is a bit dated & could use an update. Avoid the booth seating to the right when you walk in the front door. It's at a slightly downward slope so I felt like I was slipping out of my seat for the entire meal.Otherwise all was perfect and we'll definitely be back!”

She asked if we had been before, we told her no, she offered us samples. 10/10 recommend. They do offer a small beer selection. “There's a very good reason why this restaurant is usually busy at dinner time! The food is excellent, the staff friendly and efficient, and the restaurant clean and well appointed. The birria tacos, as well as the quesotacos absolutely fantastic. Cindy, the bartender, makes great margaritas, and is fun to chat with. I wish I had time to try more of their dishes, everything I saw come out looked amazing. If/when I get out here to Havelock again, this restaurant is definitely on my list to return to!”

“Went to Venice Kitchen for first time last night. It certainly will not be the last. Three of us had three different dishes and they were all phenomenal! Service was friendly and quick. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere only because it is a little small, but everything was exceptionally clean and nice. Recommend highly!Parking: Able to park right out front.”

“Don't miss this place! Mighty, given the small size of this bakery. We grabbed chocolate croissants, a blueberry croissant, a ham n cheese croissant, a few cinnamon rolls, and some cannolis. Everything was freshly made and was delicious. I started a conversation with the guy at the counter, asking him about his sourdough. He said his starter dough was 55 years old! That's bananas and probably why this place is so tasty! We may have to drop by on our way home and grab some goodies to take with us. They also make cakes and most likely cater to the local restaurants.”
