Fantastic experience last night! Kaylin was our server and recommended either the grouper bites or the polenta encrusted goat cheese appetizers. Since I was having grouper as my entree, we chose the goat cheese. It was a delicious combination of flavors. Very unique!
I had the special grouper with crabmeat in lemon dill sauce with a lemon rice and mixed sauteed vegetables and my companion had the flat iron steak (MRare) with mushrooms and onions in demiglace! Both were superb! We paired the meal with the Penfold Koonunga Hills Shiraz. Great service from our friendly server, Kaylin (from way up North!). I highly recommend Kathryn's!

This place is a gem in eastern NC with an expansive martini menu- the drinks are delicious and strong! We had the oysters, and the steak and grouper specials. I have to say, it’s some of the most flavorful and tender entrees we’ve had locally! We will definitely visit again!!

The staff, bottom to top, were so accommodating and made our 7-year-old dinner companion feel so special. ? Martinis (we tried 3 different) were awesome and the food was delicious. 7-year-old that can be extremely picky loved the grouper bites app and was very happy with the buttered noodles and bread. This is exactly what I was expecting out of this place. Very happy!

Was able to get a table for two with no issues and our server was wonderful. I had the ribeye and my husband had the Carolina seafood dish. The food was good- nothing outstanding and a little overpriced. My mixed veggies felt like steamable frozen veggies from the grocery store. I had the classic martini and it was just alright. I’ve had better.

Our favorite for date night. Consistently high quality food and the BEST martinis. Being locals we have tried all the shrimp and grits and we no one comes to their twist with the shrimp and grit cake. Key lime martini is GOAT.

Very outdated 90s style inside the dining area (Rainforest Cafe meets grandma's house). The food was nothing special and for the price, was very disappointing. The escargot was chewy, overcooked and missing any flavor.

I came here for dinner and we ordered a salmon a steak and a martini. To preface this review I am both a bartender and manager at a restaurant and my partner is a server. I got the pomegranate martini and it tasted purely like triple sec for the price of $15. We got a salmon for $30 that I asked for cooked medium and it came out dry and well done ( honestly most places can’t get this right so I wasn’t super upset). The real issue was the ribeye we ordered for $54 cooked medium-rare. The steak came out virtually raw. I am not one to send a meal back by any means but this steak was almost inedible. I sent it back and when it came out the second time there was barely a difference (the center was completely mushy). I felt really bad for the server but had to send it back again. I asked for her to just have it cooked med-well to well done and funnily enough when it came out the third time with a cool red center it was pretty much medium rare. For such a high price I would’ve expected a much better experience all around.
