We ordered wings and they definitely were not cooked all the way. The waitress didn’t care and we all ended up with food poisoning.

Food here is good. The Shrimp Po Boy and Mahi tacos are on point. The mozzarella sticks and house salads are good as well. Service was okay. We had our children and asked 3 times to have the TV channel changed, in which one that wasn't our waitress changed it. It wasn't busy at all, but is the off season for island businesses.

Nice place to eat the food is typical bar food. Service has always been great. With that being said I won’t go back with my entire family. Due to them adding automatic gratuity for groups 6 or more. I don’t understand this if the server does good they get a good tip if not they won’t. It’s already more expensive to feed 4 kids plus myself and the wife. 6 is a pretty regular sized group. Maybe 10-12 or more but also 18% bit 10-15 a little much. This makes a business unattractive to me and I love to support places like this.

We frequent this place and were very disappointed when we went last night to eat dinner. The hostess (an older woman) turned us away. My husband and I went with my in laws and our 2 sons. She looked around and said that to be honest they probably would not be able to accommodate us because there were several tables being held most of the night for ECU fans watching the games. We looked and noticed 2 right away - one an 8 persons table only seating 3 people who were not even eating, but only drinking. Another table same thing. There were seats at the bar open where the game goers could have easily sat to watch the game. She then told me it was a good thing they couldn’t seat us and I advised her that they actually aren’t making any money with small parties holding tables 3-4 hours and not eating. She then told me “well it is a sports bar”. So, we left along with another large party behind us who overhead the conversation and walked to Rucker John’s where we were all seated right away. Food was fantastic and most importantly the service was by far better than Sharks Den. We will not be back to Sharks Den after that experience.

Great atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. We have been coming to Emerald Isle for five years and after visiting the sharks den it will become our new regular hangout. Recommend to anyone visiting Emerald Isle.

Dinner included half salad which for some places would be a full salad. Excellent. Then got a premium cheeseburger with bacon and tater tots. Burger was only ok. Meat patty over cooked, bacon undercooked everything else about it was ok. Tater tots are hard to mess up.

The service and atmosphere here are very good. If you’re having wings or a burger, then that’s a good choice. However, last night we went and I had “blackened mahi tacos” and my fiance had a crab cake sandwich. This was a mistake. They brought me two tiny soft tacos with this little strip of fish. It wasn’t even served the way I ordered it. I ate it anyways because I was hungry and my baby was fussy so I wanted to leave. My fiancé’s crab cake was all filling/breading. And the Mac and cheese would have been really good if it were served hot. Stick to the drinks, burgers, and wings here.

Had the privilege to stumble upon this place on accident trying to find another restaurant during lunch time. I will say I am glad I found this sanctuary of burgers hidden within my journey. Walking into Shark’s Den Sports Bar & Grill, you immediately feel the vibe of a classic sports bar. The decor is a perfect blend of sports memorabilia, modern bar with nice concrete bar with awesome selection of different varieties of liquor and beers, making it a chill spot to catch a game or enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my experience was enjoyable from start to finish.

I decided to go for the All-American burger, which features smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion, all smashed together for that perfect bite. The burger was cooked to perfection; the smoky flavor of the bacon complemented the melty cheese and other toppings beautifully. Each ingredient added its own flair without overpowering the others. It was juicy and satisfying, truly living up to its name ALL AMERICAN WHOOOOO – RIC FLAIR VOICE.

As a side, I opted for the voodoo onion rings. These were not your average onion rings; they had a unique seasoning that with a side of voodoo sauce that gave them an extra kick. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they paired perfectly with the burger.

Overall, my visit to Shark’s Den Sports Bar & Grill was fantastic! The combination of great food and lively atmosphere made for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend trying the All-American burger with those voodoo onion rings if you’re in the mood for something delicious! I will be back to try some others on the menu as well.
