This is our first stop once we get to EI. Literally, we drive 15 hour from Canada to this special place, never going past the round about till we pop in for a pint. We have never been let down - the bar staff and regular locals from year to year bring the biggest smile to our faces. We are dog lovers - and there is nothing better than seeing such a dog friendly place. We love RC and all the other puppers we get to greet! You if you don't love dogs and beer, keep your negative comments to yourself!
Just had my favorite beer ever. It was a tangerine wheat. So refreshing on a hot day. I have to edit this review because of the dog poop mine field outside of the bar. We ride bicycles and like to stop for a beer and sit outside. We have to watch where we walk, and the dog on the bar...yuck! So disappointed. I like dogs, but please don't allow this.

The Growler bar is a favorite place of mine due to their rotating beer selection, happy bartenders, and dog friendliness.
Great growler station & taproom. A little over a dozen taps and SO MUCH variety. Beers range from all over the US, with a heavy emphasis on local (coastal) and NC beer. Live music on Fridays & Saturdays is a good time. Bar is dog friendly -- bring your pups!!
