My principal invited them to our school since today is a teacher workday. It was my first time eating their food but it won't be my last. The prices are decent and the portion sizes are amazing.

Let me start off with myself and one other person got 4 tacos, 1 quesadilla, and waters. The total was $40 somehow!! There was no one in line when we ordered our food so it didn't take any time at all to get our orders in. I do have to say that the lady who took our orders was very nice. We gave our phone number and were told they would text us when the food was ready. We waited for almost 30 minutes for our 4 tacos and 1 quesadilla! We right off the bat new that something was going to be off when we got forks with our tacos lol. I had chorizo and their chipotle chicken on 2 of the tacos... The chicken was extremely dry and was so bad that I couldn't even eat taco. The other two tacos had carne asada and it was also very dry. All of the meat was super chunky. It's hard to eat tacos with giant clumps of "shredded" meat. The quesadilla wasn't terrible though. The only complaint I have about it is that they chose the cheapest tortilla they could find. The tortilla was crumbling apart and the parts that weren't crumbling apart were so soggy that you couldn't even pick it up and eat it. I don't think I will be going back there any time soon.

These asada fries….I can’t even. They are perfection. And don’t get me started on the portion size for your money! We literally stalk this food truck weekly to see if they’re in town. And when they come to my favorite place—End of Days distillery—it brings a happy tear to my eye!

Food was amazing, we ordered and walked around while we waited. The zombie walk on hay street was super fun! We got our food and the serving sizes are definitely worth the price. We ordered the asada fries and tacos and burrito. Enough to share with everyone!

OMG! The food was AMAZING, the carne asada and carnitas was off the charts delicious!!! Fresh, authentic and filled with so much flavor! Highly recommend, don’t miss out on the gem!

These guys are great. I loved the Taco salad Carne. Check then out around town but especially at Bright Light Brewery. The flavor was great and the service was awesome. They let you know when your order is ready via text and can tap to pay.
The lady who took my order told me total was $11 when the food was listed as $9. When I asked her why is it over $9 and she told me it was tax... which made no sense that tax is over 20%.. but I didnt want to make a deal out of $2 so i just paid. Lady charged differently to my friend who paid with card and charged him the appropriate amount.Response to Owner: I paid with cash and did not order steak. Burrito was listed for $9. My friend ordered the same thing first and was charged $9.75 (0.75 credit card fee). I ordered second and the lady charged me $11 when i told her im paying with cash.

California Taco was wonderful enough to cater my wedding at Topsail Island. They were so easy to work with and “Catered” to us! Not to mention the large menu with absolutely amazing tasting food and LARGE portions. All my wedding guests raved about the delicious food. I would recommend California taco to cater your next event. Great food and Amazing owner!!
