“I went around 8ish. We went upstairs and our drink order was taken then we waited about 15-20 for the waitress to take our food order after we stopped her and asked could we order. The drinks were ok as I had two and had not even a buzz and I’m a super light weight but the flavor was there. The Dj was very good and played music from all genres. I ordered the Rasta pasta and it was sweet and very spicy. The look of it wasn’t appetizing so I asked could I send it back. The young lady told me she would have the other cook remake it and I was fine with that. It took around 20 mins and she came back with it in a to go container and said are y’all paying together or separate? I was like oh I guess we’re leaving. She said well someone reserved the table so…I said oookkk so can we sit somewhere else? She said if you want to sure. But didn’t tell us where we could sit. We ended up just paying and leaving which sucked because we were excited to finally be able to come and see what the buzz was about. Like why you mad cause I sent the food back. She was cool up until that point. I’m not gonna judge the establishment based on her actions but the first impression means a lot.”

I’ve been a sushi man for a long time, but this was my first experience with a poke bowl. You see, I have Alpha-Gal Syndrome, which makes me allergic to all mammal meats and byproducts. Yes, I am allergic to beef, pork, dairy, etc.

To make matters worse, I travel for work. Every week I am on the road averaging 1,000-1,500 miles.

Since my diagnosis 7 months ago, I have had to be very careful where I eat. Simplicity and availability have limited me to 2-3 restaurants. Needless to say, those restaurants got old…FAST!

So, I decided to try something new tonight and, man, am I glad I did! The young man behind the counter, “Z”, took excellent care of me. He listened to my allergy concerns and helped me pick out something I could have. He suggested three of the hottest sellers. He even made several trips to the back to read labels on various products.

I hope Poki Bowl is taking great care of “Z”…because he’s sure taking great care of customers!

Our favorites are the Hong Kong Chicken (crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned) and the Black Pepper Stir Fry — a must-try if you love a bold, savory kick. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is casual and family-friendly.

It’s wonderful to have a spot where we can enjoy a relaxed meal together, knowing we’ll get great service every time. Highly recommend!”

“This sushi/bento restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with enough space for privacy. The booths have high backs and individual pads to sit on.

It has the option to order from a tablet or you can go to the front to order with the waitress. To-go containers are set out at the front for anyone to grab when they're ready to go. It looks like a really nice restaurant, but I think they've adapted to make it partially self-serve and partially assisted by staff. I'm not sure how much I actually liked this style... But I digress.

The food was good. Not the most flavorful udon, but my daughter liked her ramen a lot. And the sushi was decent.

“We went on Valentines Day evening and even though it was insanely busy, we received excellent service from both the bar and from our server at our table.
We went to the bar first since we had a bit of a wait before we got seated. The bartenders were very friendly. I had a delicious Coconut Mojito. The kids had Virgin Piña Coladas.
Our food was amazing! We started with the Chicken Tostones. I love plantains so that hit the spot. For dinner, I had the Jerk Chicken Pineapple Bowl. I would order that a million more times! It was one of my favorite things I've ever had at a restaurant and was so big I made 2 meals out of it. I LOVED IT! My husband had Blackened Mahi Tacos and loved them! The kids had the Grilled Salmon and Coconut Shrimp Tacos. A big hit with both of them. We had the Chocolate Island for dessert. VERY VERY GOOD!

Food delicious, Chefs (we had 2 )great, fun for all ages. Special Birthday drum and Ice cream and candle perfect for the 10 (Birthday Honorees). Birthday ages 1-50, and all laughed, talked, enjoyed chefs, food, the friendliness of our hostess!! This was our second time to celebrate at Shoguns, but not our last. “Went to Hibachi Express this evening. Ordered the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi to go. The inside eating area appeared to be very clean. The workers very also very presentable. The kitchen from what you can see looks clean and neat. The food came with 2 side cups of Yum Yum sauce, choice of soup or salad. I got the soup (Miso). The soup was delicious and I could tell it was made fresh. The Hibachi was excellent. Their was more then enough Steak and Shrimp, I was actually expecting less meat then what was portioned. The vegetables onions, carrots, broccoli, zucchini was fresh, the Hibachi rice was cooked extremely well and had great taste. Whe sitting down eating this I got full half way threw and still found myself craving the taste. Will be back.”

But tonight we had a server whose name I won't mention, but whose initials are AS. All you have to do is add another S to his initials, and that's what he was. We watched people come in after us and get served before us, and had good service from other servers. While we watched, our server stood outside, socializing with the same people at another table, never checking on our order. We both ordered salmon, and his excuse was that they cook it differently there and bake it afterward. (BS) And we have always ordered the same thing there. I guess that gives me reason to try other restaurants on the strip now, because good service makes an experience for us.”

Seriously we are strangers to them but they embrace us (esp my daughter) like family! They are the type of people you want to succeed and support because of how genuine and caring they are. I decided on a simple burger, ( not recommended) this burger was dry, no flavor and tasted like it had been frozen. The wait was unusually long but thats okay for good food not a bad burger. “I have now been able to experience the Skibo Rd location twice and each time I ordered something different. I love the fact that much of the food is made to order. Which made my hubby’s low calorie diet & my low sodium diet super easy. Today I requested a grilled chicken with no salt and the hand made chips with no salt They were very good. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is nice. I do not mind the bit of wait for food when they are busy because the food is so good and made to order. Thank you for a lovely experience. “My son and I visited Farmer’s on may 1st. We went in just wanting to love on some cats but I fell in love with a cat and couldn’t stop thinking about her! We adopted her and she’s been home with us since may 4th. You can tell so much love and care goes into this place and a plus of adopting from them is you know the cats are well socialized and litter box trained. A plus for our little girl was she is already fixed! She’s fit in well in our household and is so loving and sweet. I highly recommend visiting and supporting this business! We adopted “Latifa” but have renamed her Clementine. 🧡 we are so happy she’s a part of our family.”

“I ate here for the first time last Saturday and the food was delicious. Liberty Island Foods did not disappoint! I had oxtail, rice and peas, cabbage, plantain and I added a side of jerk shrimp! The oxtail were literally falling off the bone, so tender and flavorful! My daughter had the jerk chicken and shrimp pasta and that was delicious as well! Will definitely be dining in again soon!”
