“Left White Lake to return home to Greensboro. I love mom and pop type shops and had wanted to try Big Daddy's. I went out of the way to try them on the way back to Greensboro, I am glad I did. When I arrived in Autryville, I was convinced that google gave me bad directions. Little store front in the middle of nowhere. Walked in and just loved the old store full of friendly people. They had good food and good prices. Fed 4 of us for about 25 bucks. The combination of a rural setting and good, friendly people, and a laid back environment makes this place somewhere I will visit anytime I visit white lake. Small family owned places like this with good food are hard to find, I will be back in the future and encourage others to travel to Autryville and enjoy the small town charm you will find here.”

“Today I visited Escape 58 in Wade NC. I live nearby and pass through this area on a regular basis. The place is very clean and quiet because they had just opened for the day at 5 pm. There were two other customers and myself so it was quiet and peaceful. It was 100 degrees today so I stopped in for a cold drink and went home. My server was friendly. I didn't order food.”

“I had just arrived after a long journey, was staying at the hotel, and decided to come here for dinner. Everything was absolutely fine!

I had the burger and fries. Simple, tasty, and my plate was empty by the end, which says it all. The staff were also very friendly and attentive and I felt well taken care of.

I know some reviews here are quite critical, but that really wasn’t my experience. For me, it was a pleasant place to have dinner. Don’t let the reviews put you off!”

“Besides the service being great. I would like to thank the team at Wendy's #00014082 for their help in saving my vacation. My family and I was traveling to Myrtle Beach on 7/10/2026. My lady realized 1 1/2 hours later that she had left her purse at the the restaurant. Upon calling them we happy to know that they had put the purse safely in their care until we called. I would like to thank Anita, Kisha, Reggie, Jackie, and Naideah for avoiding what could have been a total disaster to a vacation.
