“The food is always very fresh!! The entire staff is so accomodating and very friendly!! Their Sushi is out of this world delicious and as fresh as can be. Their Tempura is also wonderful!!! Anyway, we love it!!! Our favorite Sushi snd Japanese Restaurant!!“
“We have been looking for a Japanese restaurant to take the place of the one we usually went to which closed. We found what we really wanted at this restaurant. Excellent food at reasonable prices!! We can still split the meal because of the quantity of food!!!“
“This is our favorite place for Chinese takeout! The dishes are always flavorful, and the price is very reasonable for the large portions they serve. Our go-to order is General Tso’s Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Roasted Pork Egg Rolls, and Egg Drop Soup. We have not been disappointed yet! Hands-down the best flavor combination between the Pork Egg Rolls and Egg Drop Soup. I highly recommend giving Matuya a try if you haven’t yet!“
“OMG, I came to Fayetteville from Richmond, VA, to attend the Kevin Hart Show. After looking at the reviews, I selected Miyabi Japanese Steak House and planned to arrive when they open at 4 pm. I arrived at 3:50, and there was already a line in the parking lot. I am talking about 40+ folks, many of whom have parties of 5 or more. Once they open, they got us all in and seated, I was pleasantly surprised. I was even more pleased with the food and the overall service. I see why this place is close to 5-stars, and the staff there value their customers. The food was delicious, and the cooking was just amazing. I was at table/grill six a little after 4 pm, which was fantastic. I Highly recommend this place, and it is my new favorite. v/r, Dr. K. King“
“Absolute best sushi in Fayetteville hands down!! This has always been my go to for lunch and dinner for the last few years. Nothing has really changed since the first time I went, food is always amazing, staff is always on top of their game, owner is super friendly and an amazing guy to talk to when there, 12/10 on the Fayetteville places to eat, you’ll never be disappointed!“
“Let me say, this place was surprising . I happened to be in the area and found this restaurant as I was walking around. I loved the sushi and the bento was great. The little blonde girl and the boy in the front were extremely friendly and super helpful. They didn’t make me feel rushed when ordering, answered all my questions, they accommodated my request really well and without making a fuss. The restaurant was quaint and cute, the prices didn’t seem unreasonable, the service was fast and I’ll definitely be back. I appreciate that the little girl went above and beyond for me too and was nice enough to ask me how many utensils I needed, if we needed an extra plates, the way she asked “Is there anything else I can get for you?” Vs “do you need anything?” She was polite and very sweet. I’ll definitely be back and be accompanied with all my friends. 10/10 for me in my book“
“Went to Hibachi Express this evening. Ordered the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi to go. The inside eating area appeared to be very clean. The workers very also very presentable. The kitchen from what you can see looks clean and neat. The food came with 2 side cups of Yum Yum sauce, choice of soup or salad. I got the soup (Miso). The soup was delicious and I could tell it was made fresh. The Hibachi was excellent. Their was more then enough Steak and Shrimp, I was actually expecting less meat then what was portioned. The vegetables onions, carrots, broccoli, zucchini was fresh, the Hibachi rice was cooked extremely well and had great taste. Whe sitting down eating this I got full half way threw and still found myself craving the taste. Will be back.“
“Unlimited sushi for under $20‼️? The food was fresh. Portions weren't too big, so you can enjoy a little taste of almost everything. There's a variety to choose from whether eating from the sushi conveyor belt, small entrees, or appetizers. Staff was friendly and prompt. I would recommend the monkey roll, the Las Vegas roll, and the beef gyoza. Will definitely be coming back???Vegetarian options: Seaweed salad, cucumber salad, veggie sushi roll, Inari (tofu) sushi, veggie hibachi.“
“Best place to celebrate Birthdays! Our family has gotten so large we honor Birthdays two (2) times a year: June, for Jan.-May then December, for July-Dec. Birthdays! It is a very mixed age group! Food delicious, Chefs (we had 2 )great, fun for all ages. Special Birthday drum and Ice cream and candle perfect for the 10 (Birthday Honorees). Birthday ages 1-50, and all laughed, talked, enjoyed chefs, food, the friendliness of our hostess!! This was our second time to celebrate at Shoguns, but not our last. Granddaddy (he paid) was happy with the cost, very reasonable for the food and entertainment! A big Shout Out to Shogun! Brenda Burgess, Lillington. 6-15-19“
“This place is usually pretty empty when we go, which is suitable to my preferences. I always get their musubi and it always hits, just like their cucumber salad. The fried rice is basic, yet top tier. Their Fayetteville roll was quite a surprise to find on the menu so I obviously had to get it, being a local, and it was absolutely epic. I do have to say that this one of the better places in town!“
“The food is ALWAYS on point!!! The steak (medium-well) & shrimp is my go to. The yum yum sauce is bomb!!! And the sweet tea is always sweet. Dine in available, but if you’re doing take out I’d call ahead your food is made fresh to order. With the exception of being closed on Monday’s I’d recommend them to anyone.“
“I don't like going anywhere else for Japanese food. I think they are better than that overpriced Mikioto Express. Been eating from here for 5 years and I am recognized every time I go in. The taste and quality never changes. Love this place.“
“Nona Sushi is an excellent restaurant to visit. I have yet to find a competitor in the area that beats their Ramen. The Sushi is well prepared and fresh with various combinations. Price is on point with quality. I will continue to dine here in the future.“
“If you’re looking for a tasty hot Japanese meal without going to an expensive steakhouse, this place is for you.I love Miyabi Jr. It is hands down the tastiest, highest quality Japanese takeout in Fayetteville and probably the best I’ve ever had. It is a bummer all meals are in take out boxes now due to covid, because miyabi jr used to be a sit-down restaurant with real plates and waiters that would always clean up the mess. Regardless, the quality of food and service has never faltered. They have the best teriyaki chicken I have EVER had. Like seriously, I think about this teriyaki chicken all the time. I have tried to recreate it to no avail. While living in Fayetteville, I have probably been here at least twice a month every single month since I discovered it 8 years ago with no exaggeration. The food has NEVER been less than excellent and they’ve never gotten my order wrong either.“
“I came here with a friend and her spouse during lunch and we opted for their lunch buffet. It is located right outside the gate south side of Fort Liberty. It has a very limited parking as it is shared with the other establishments in the same strip. It can definitely get crazy busy during lunch hours since it located right outside the base. Walking in, the staff were very welcoming, courteous, and overall friendly. The place is good for teams, large groups, and solo. The buffet menu was very limited, but more than enough for a filling lunch. The noodles, the spicy pork, the bulgogi, the dumplings, the fried rolls, the fried chicken, the veggies, and the fried rice were all delicious. I specifically lived the fried rice. I've only been here once, but my friends frequent this place. And now I know why. I would definitely come back here again whenever I am in the area.“
“I've been going there for most my life. Cashiers and chefs are really nice and polite. Now I go there with my little daughter and they always talk to her, and the chef will do fun things to make her laugh, and I usually have help with the sauces if my hands are too full.Kid-friendliness: Said in main comment.“
“They have the best Asian food around the East side of Fayetteville! Flavor, portions, price, & wait time are ALL ABSOLUTELY GREAT! Their clear soup is hands down the BEST I've ever had & I can feed my family of 7 with 3 combo meals ??Parking: A lot of bums & weirdos around because of Walmart! Be careful“
“Got the hibachi chicken and shrimp. Hands down the best Japanese in Fayetteville. Not even the best part of my experience.Ordered through Door dash. My delivery driver had a ten minute drive to my location to drop off my food but after a 30 minute wait my food had yet to arrive. Called the restaurant to see what was going on. The gentleman who answered (they were closed at the time) talked me through what to do since I didn't have any idea. He even called back to confirm that it was cooked & picked up. Extremely kind and helpful. This restaurant has now became my "go to" for a wonderful, fair priced Japanese restaurant. Thank you for everything!“
“Do NOT apply to work here. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with, they refuse to give me my last check and told me it didn’t exist until I threatened to call the department of labor. Told me they would send it in the mail and two weeks later I still haven’t received it. This is all after I quit because the manager played with my money the entire time I worked here stealing tables from servers , ect.“
“The food was great. They did take a while to come but it's ok The California rolls were great tho I don't know why they cut the cucumbers in peace's when they could of just made it one peice but I did not make it so it's ok We also had shrimp tempura rolls it was very flavorful and delicious now the drinks we brought sprites for our daughters and the sprites had no syrup it tasted like sparkling water Luckily the waitress did give us another one but it still tasted bad it has syrup but it's fine when we got seated it smelt like gas the waitress was very nice“
“I will stand by this place for life; if Umami's has followers then I'm a one of them, if Umami's has 1000 followers then I'm one of those 1000; if there are only 10 followers, then I am one of those ten; if Umami's only has 1 follower then I am that one; and if no one is following Umami's, then I'm dead or the world has ended. Umami's is the best Japanese food I've ever tasted HANDS DOWN. No other overpriced hibachi place could breathe next to their quality of food. I don't really want to write a review of this place because I can't handle this place being overcrowded when I want to go eat here, but I feel like the owners deserve it. As long as nothing changes in the flavor, pricing (I get inflation but come on) or the quality then this place will forever be in my top places to eat, period.“
