over cooked fried seafood. slow service. asked twice for tea. will never eat there again. I will go to Dunn NC if I want great seafood

I was skeptical upon walking in because there was hardly anyone in the place when we got there. Our server was friendly and fast. Our appetizer wasn't what I expected, (potato skins), but it certainly was tasty! Now, when the meal came out, I was absolutely surprised. The amount of food you get was enough to feed 2 and secondly, the food was so damned good & hot! I got the Whiting and added jumbo shrimp. It comes with coleslaw and hush puppies, but you also get 2 sides with it. All of the food was freshly made, even the salad was great.
We had so much food leftover that I didn't have to cook dinner that night. The place was clean as well as the bathroom(s), and the music was laid back old school. I enjoyed it and will definitely go back again. Kudos to the cook and staff!!

After hearing how good this place was, I decided to try it.. Unfortunately, it was not the experience I expected.. I ordered the special platter with catfish, scallops, oysters, popcorn shrimp, jumbo shrimp, devilled crab fries, and hush puppies..
Catfish was cooked well.. Scallops were way overcooked to the point they were rubber, and the breading didn't stay on them at all.. Oysters had too much breading them, and I could only eat 1/2 of one.. Popcorn shrimp were cooked well.. Jumbo shrimp were pasty.. Devilled crab was like nothing but bread and one tiny piece of bell pepper.. I didn't see or taste any crab at all.. Fries seemed stale and not fresh.. Nothing was seasoned AT ALL, and everything had a raw flour flavor.. The ONLY good thing I can say is that although the hushpuppies are in rings, they are really good! All in all, I was very disappointed and the food was not worth $25!

Will never eat here again! The manager could care less that their food made not only me sick but also other people that were with me. Your sorry does nothing for me being up all night sick. Poor customer service.

Went tonight and got food wasn’t satisfied at all idk why they switched their fries the were hard and wasn’t fresh at all, it’s definitely not the same how it was this will be my attempt, I go and think like maybe it’s today a few times and every time I’m disappointed, so yeah there it go for Captain Jerry’s!

The only thing I enjoyed was the music. Our spots were NOT seasoned, devil crab was unseasoned mush, oysters were fried too hard and French fries were cooked in old grease! The food was horrible!!! Then, I woke up with the Hershey Squirts!

I've been going here for 30 plus years. The hush puppies are top notch and hands down the best hush puppies i ever had. I will gobthere just for those. I got the catfish for the first time and was not disappointed. I will be getting it again. I usually get the shrimp but found my favorite new dish.

We ate here as a family recently after 18 years. The dining area has had a nice face-lift since the last time we were here. My son tried the Red Snapper for the first time, and loved it. My husband and mother loved their food. I had a combination platter with flounder, deviled crab, and fried shrimp. It was fresh, cooked to perfection. Flounder is the only fish that I will eat, so I try it wherever it is served. Captain Jerry's did not disappoint! Their hushpuppies were delicious too! I like that they offer different vegetable sides unlike other places which serve seafood. I can't wait to go back.

Her customer service is Excellent. The food first of all the loaded potato skins with side of sour cream. The they have SPOTS, a wonderful fish, I grew up eating. The hush puppies. We are not going to even mention the coleslaw. Then we got the platter with stuffed deviled crab, deep fried shrimp, and oysters. We you say delicious this is it
