Carolina Ale House - Fayetteville

After 16 straight days of working. I didn't feel up to cooking; with so many other great surrounding restaurants. I made a choice to go to Ale House. My server just kept over talking me; which I get it there are questions they ask. At least allow me to answer them. By now my special needs adult; is becoming a bit irritated. It was good to get the special needs adult to consider making a decision to actually sit in the restaurant. Fast forward we placed the order; once the wings arrived they looked as if they'd been cooked in old oil. Not to mention the fries looked the exact same way. I wanted to take him to a familiar place from home. Unfortuately in 40 years I've never seen anything like this.. We
asked for the check. I didn't complain as I was disbelief that anyone would serve such..

Booked the party room for a graduation party in June. No manager had the courtesy to call and tell me that the AC in the party room broke and they didn't move us insidethe main area. We went to set up and it was not only hot, but filthy from a previous party. We ended up cleaning the room ourselves and my husband brought our personal fans from home to try and cool the room. The shift manager said he was new and couldn't comp us much. Never again. We were too hot to even eat.

Also, they don't follow up when you post a review. They reached out after this post, sent an email asking to reference the post, and now it's been over 2 months with no replies after I emailed them.

This was my first and last time going. I went there with my family and the restaurant wasn’t packed at all. There was a max of 2 customers in the restaurant. And it took like 10 minutes for a server to sit us at a table, after 3 servers looked at us and acknowledged us and kept walking away. We were about to turn and leave but got quickly seated. The food was pretty good but not really worth the price in my opinion. But my food took longer than I expected, because again the restaurant was empty. The waiter I had was a bit rude. Especially slamming my drink on the table and spilling a bit of it. And the entire time I felt like we weren’t welcome and that she didn’t really want to be there. Others may have had good experiences, but I can say mine wasn’t that good.

Nyzionah Tolbert our server is kind and forward thing. Without having to ask she placed every sweetener type on my tea plate so I could decide at my leisure. This deserves an awesome comment card.

My food was not good. I ordered the strawberry lemonade as my drink and that was not balanced well. It wasn’t tart and wasn’t quite sweet either. It tasted like they had some sort of off brand premade lemonade and then used some sort of “strawberry” flavored enhancer as that portion of the drink. As my entree I ordered the combo plate: fried shrimp and 3 zingers. The “Carolina bbq” sauce flavor was too Briny tasting and didn’t really hit anything tangy or Smokey. The zingers which were basically chicken strip, were dry and lukewarm warm almost cold. The shrimp were fried and supposedly breaded, however the breading was barely in the shrimp. The fries that I ordered to come as a side were over cooked, they were crispy and seemed to be the only decent thing I had to eat on my plate. The Cesar salad that ordered as a side to compliment my fries was ok not that great. And was too big as it felt like they gave me a full sized salad. My waitress was ok and wasn’t terrible. It took a long time for the check to come for us to be able to pay. The ONLY thing that was good was the Spinach dip that my mother in law ordered for the table as the appetizer.

Food was fresh and fast. Enjoyed our visit and will be back again. Our daughter got a kick out of the fried pickles name. Lol

the food and atmosphere was incredible and our server Izzy really made our experience. She was incredibly funny and really made the experience engaging.
