I saw a post from Laura on Facebook and wasn't disappointed, the soup is delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, tables clean and nicely decorated. Laura was friendly and engaging I love her vibe. Will definitely come back.

Friday flounder special: yummy. Generous portions. Friendly and efficient service. On my trips to Fayetteville I look forward to visiting ‘ The Continental,’ especially on Fridays. (The chicken salad sandwiches and hamburgers also good)

I went this morning The atmosphere was great. The cashier who took my order was very nice. I got a side of cheese grits and toast. She asked if I wanted jelly they provide me with napkin for knife, salt, pepper, and when she’s gaining my food, she said see you later which made me feel really welcomed. I will definitely be making this my weekly breakfast before work spot. No pictures this time the food was gone before I even thought to take a picture 🤣

Hidden gem in Haymount......no bells or whistles just hardy breakfast and lunch meals...only wish they were open on Saturdays
My spouse & I went to this place on April 15, 2025 to have breakfast. We arrived around 11: 30 am. The server said the grill was closed to breakfast. Only lunch items were being served until 2 : 30 pm. Both of us were hungry. I ordered an egg salad sandwich on white bread (not toasted). It came with a bag of Lay's chips. I had one bite of the egg salad & It was dry & mostly tasted like pickles. It was the skimpiest egg salad sandwich. I asked the server for mayonnaise & got 2 packets of mayo. This a diner. Not a fast food place.I was annoyed with server's behaviorl I received crappy service & a lousy sandwich. I ignored the ripped up seats & non functioning soda fountain. The server brought my pepsi in a can & a plastic tumbler with ice in it. My bad. We should have gone somewhere else immediately. My spouse took the bill to the cashier. He asked the other server to get approval for a partial refund. She did & the Manager agreed to it. Unfortunately, we can't recommended eating there. 🙁

Amber is great, the waitress at the Continental Cafe 🥪 talk about a clean plate club kind of place. We popped in and weren’t disappointed. I had at BLT+Egg&Cheese, along with the best home fries of my life. And an order of French toast (you know it’s good when it’s delicious even without syrup). 10/10 will come again, and often!
