Food was amazing too tier even!! A little to pricey but it's was really good. We got natural juices that are normally like 3 or 4 bucks and the charge 6 bucks each and don't offer no refills the service was bunz she took out order but never came back to check if e needed anything or offer anything else to drink. The flan was disappointing I was looking forward to getting and when she brought it out it was like how's this flan where is the flan juice ok fine whatever right now I take the first bite and the flan is hard flan is supposed to be soft juicy and it didn't have none of that it was so disappointing imagine having to eat something that instantly makes u gag I'm so mad because the food was so freaking good!!!

Customer service was excellent. The waitress was super nice and attentive. I had the pernil plantain sandwich with a side of fried yucca and it was delicious. Very flavorful and generous portions. The mural on one wall is awesome and with the music created a fun vibe.

I have never had a bad meal. I got at least 3 times a week.

The reason I am giving 2 stars is because the Bifongo was really good in texture and taste, and the cooking time was quick although we were only 2 customers in the restaurant at the time, the restaurant appearance just need to improve for the better, music was a little loud and reggaeton all the time, most have some variations for all kind of customers (puertorricans) and such, reggaeton is not the only music cultural speaking. THE WORSE part is we saw 2 little cockroaches (cucarachitas) walking on the front side wall view. Also, we asked for some stuff from the menu (carta) and the waitress stated they did not have it for preparation, it doesn’t matter, if you offers it on the menu you should have it available for customers. Not sure if it was the time 1130 too early or nothing on stock, it should have been available for customers. Meals that were asked; alcapurrias, ensalada de seafood, apparently they didn’t have the squirt or octopus etc. I think for short time visit planning not coming back because of cockroaches, will watch reviews for improvements.

Best puerto rican 🇵🇷 food ive had in NC, came from Wilmington and wasn't disappointed! Decent pricing and damn near everything you can want from our beautiful islands cuisine

I feel like the quality of food went down when they switched locations. Ive been a couple times since and the food has been good; not great as it was. Today however my steak tasted rancid, there was two pieces and I think one of the pieces was from an older batch or something. Once I got into the steak I couldnt eat it and informed the waitress.
Restaurants should have a protocol for when these things happen, the waitress just said the steak was brought in today and she would let the chefs know but that was it… I was halfway through the food when I realized it was sour so I understand theres not much to do but paying $23 for a steak I couldnt eat is a bit annoying.

The music was a little too loud. My first 3 food options wasn't available and I had to wait 12 minutes for my food after they brought the food for everyone else on my table.

This could be a great place BUT, it needs a lot of work. First I'm going to start with the good things. Food is OK, but the presentation is not the best. Now the not so good. They are extremely under staff. They are definitely not ready for large groups. They panicked and it took about an hr for our order to be taken. The waiter didn't bring any drinks until the food was served 45 min later.. So most of us were eating and almost finished and no drinks, about 2 hrs from arrival. Service and friendliness needs to be addressed with the employees. They are rude with their responses. They don't greet people, and when they see people coming they make faces like they don't want people to go to the restaurant. The menu needs to be reduced because we ordered things and the answer for all of us was "No tenemos (we don't have it)." So my recommendation is simplify the menu with things that you actually can actually keep in stock. I think management needs to step up a little, because again, I feel it has potential, but right now it's not it. I'm not recommending it or going back.

Great food horrible service

Thank God their food was better than their attitudes. Food delicious service is horrible. No greet no have a good day didn’t say thank you no smiles lady didn’t even have the nerve to tell me the total just slid me the receipt and pointed. They can’t say it was a language barrier because I spoke Spanish

We weee here for a three day convention and found this hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality. The service at this restaurant was top-notch—attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely friendly from start to finish.

Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Every dish was bursting with flavor and clearly made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. You can tell the chefs take real pride in their work.
