can say is that you will not be disappointed, we really enjoyed the ambiance, smooth jazz, and of course the food. We will definitely be going back real soon.

First time trying DSF and they did not disappoint. The fried ribs were on point. You must try the down south rolls. The bonus is that the collard greens are cooked with smoked turkey.

Omg….The food at this place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I both got the hamburger steak and rice. I got the Mac and cheese and Collards. He got the okra, yams and a slice of red velvet cake. I have nothing bad to say about the food. The wait time was a little long but we didn’t mind because everything was amazingly good. It was hot and seasoned just right. Glad to know everything is cooked fresh. Customer service was amazing as well. We will be back!

We dined outside, as it was a beautiful evening. The service was outstanding. Ms. Mackenzie was friendly and helpful. We had ribs, pork chops, rice, Mac and Cheese, and corn bread. It was all delicious. Ten out of ten.

The food was good. But the portions are very small. Need combo choices. Over priced for the amount that's served. Waitresses keep coming back asking if we were ready to pay. I asked her do people walk out without paying? Drinks were mostly ice filled,spirit were very weak. Took awhile for the food to come plus it was cold. Drinks $2.50 per can/tea are $3.50. Sides are too expensive. They need to get with the program. I wouldn't recommend this place

10/10 highly recommend . The food was hot and fresh, the services was amazing ! The waitress was very attentive and warm and friendly , the atmosphere was superb. The owner even came out to check on us and the experience . Nice southern food and the drinks were also amazing ! Look for a new southern restaurant please stop by and give this place a try. I stumbled upon this new restaurant and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. The staff was amazing and the food was out of this world. Southern soul food at its best. I will most certainly come back and recommend this spot.
Decided to give this restaurant a try and we’re glad we did! Our server was so attentive and friendly and the food was great! I got the pork chops daily special and it was more than enough food for the price. Every single staff member said hello and asked us how our food was. I’m a stickler for cleanliness and sanitation and they far exceeded my expectations. This was just a pleasant experience all together and we will be coming back. Love that there’s a restaurant like this in downtown Fayetteville!

Food was delicious, fairly priced, great waitress and clean restaurant (99.5 sanitation grade). Cook came out to say hello too. Fried okra, Mac and cheese, chicken wings, fried ribs and even the French fries were yummy. Nice addition to downtown’s restaurants. We will be back.

This was my first time visiting DSF in Fayetteville NC. My entire experience from being outside to going inside where Alyssa(who later was also my server), came outside and encouraged me to come inside to eat. It was so funny, but needless to say I went inside to try DSF out. The food, the server, and the prices where all top notch. Thank you Alyssa!!

Hello, Wow.... my boyfriend and I was visiting Oct 2024, currently in the process of moving permanently to NC so we are exploring the sites. We came along the Down South Family Restaurant and decided to give it a try, me being a city girl (Westchester County, NY) and boyfriend from Richmond, VA... believe me, "IT WAS DEFINITELY A GREAT CHOICE." First, the greeter (can't remember name) was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating as well as professional greeted us with a smile. We ordered wingettes, half hot/half regular; fried ribs; French fries; collard greens; rice gravy and lemonade and to be honest everything was on point (bill $48) and it was worth every cent! I rate it a 5+ stars out of 5 stars. We will definitely return and this will definitely be our once or twice month to visit. As for the owners (husband and wife, can't remember names) but they too was extremely friendly, welcoming and awesome! Sorry I can't remember your names, not good on that😂.. anyway...
