I love Golden Corral . But the one Greenville doesn't measure up to Golden Corral standards to me .

I'm shocked and appalled at the take out prices, the last time I paid about 24$, I didn't say nothing but I would never forget...so yesterday I decided to treat myself to some fish (they do have good fish) and because I'm on disability/fixed income I knew just to get tiny portions.... So I got 3 small bite size of fish, 1 small corn on the Cobb, 1 heaping tablespoon of broccoli, 1 heaping table spoon of boiled potatoes,and little rice, and small salad.. I was being mindful about the weight because of the cost.... so already when I get there before I place it on the scale it says 2lbs, the lady wiggled it and brought the numbers down and NOOOO NOT to a completed zero but I went ahead and placed it down, she had her back towards me and said 8 something, I thought to myself ok I did good in managing the weight, but I just check my bank statement it was $28.70 from Golden Corral, there is no way I got $28.70 worth of food. I'm disgusted because I'm a senior with a disability and they took advantage when I gave them my card to pay.... I'm disgusted never again would I take food out again.

A regular treasure trove of good virtual. They're cooked just right and served hot - very tasty.

Need better control of people getting food

We had no problem really with the service, but most of food was so overcooked that it was rubbery and even the rare steaks had a burnt taste to them like either the grill wasn’t cleaned properly or the female steak cook doesn’t know who to cook a steak right.

Parking: Several times I’ve had to drop my handicapped parents off at the door and park in the areas that are supposed to be for shopping

I can't say the food was terrible, the steak wasn't half bad. Some of the food is mediocre, but what can you exspect? The thing that ruined my experience was the three employees who kept taking plates to the large party room and eating customers' leftovers. One employee also was touching the mouth part of a straw while getting a refill. While two of the three seemed to at least be doing a good bit of labor for their free leftovers, one seemed to sit back and watch others eat and work apart from the occasional drink refill or taking a discarded plate.

So what had happened was..... I got hungry. I told myself I was better than buffets. What the hell was I thinking? No I'm not. Lol. Got exactly what I wanted every single trip. I hate myself now. But I'm going back for the sweet stuff.

Arrived and paid for our meal, when we went to sit there was a line of customers who had already paid just as we did and found out they were over sold, not an empty table in the restaurant. When we finally did get a table and went to the buffet there were kids at the buffet grabbing food with their hands and dropping food all over the floor and buffet. Most of the food items were very low on quantity and the employees were more focused on chatting than filling the buffet. I have to say this by far was the worst dining experience I have ever had.

The server Cora is the nicest person there that we have encountered. Even while busy, she was joyful and pleasant. She was even checking on tables that weren't in her section. I appreciated that! We had several others just pass by and not ask if we were doing ok or needed anything. It's refreshing to see someone enjoy helping others regardless of what else is happening.
As a facility, it's very lacking luster. Food sometimes has the assistance of having been there a long time, like having a hard crust on top of mashed potatoes. Cook staff need to wear gloves and/or change them more frequently. You can't touch oven doors, and mop handles then turn around and touch food items. That's a big serve safe rule breaker there! staff shouldn't be allowed to wear earbuds while on the clock either. Some need their attitudes checked as well, no need to be in customer service if all you gonna do is wear a frown on your face the entire time and be rude and snotty to every person that walks in. Get another job if you gonna be rude!
