I absolutely love Hudson Bay. The fish always tastes fresh, and the portion sizes are just right. I usually order a large plate, but I can never finish it in one sitting. This means I always have leftovers for another day. They have never disappointed me!

I used to come here as a kid about 15 years ago and decided to visit as an adult with my wife tonight. The place looks almost exactly the same and even some of the staff were familiar faces. We were seated promptly and had time to look over the menu before the server greeted us and took our food and drink orders. We got the deluxe platter with a side salad and the deviled crab and shrimp plate. Everything was portioned and cooked beyond satisfaction. We paid our reasonable bill and went home full and happy. I only wish I would've gotten some extra hush puppies and sweet tea for the ride home.

The service at this place was the worst! We were seated with a party of seven since they were already moving tables to accommodate that size party, we asked to be sat next to a plug due to one of our elderly family members needing to plug in their portable oxygen machine. The so-called hostess huff and puffed, walked off and ignored the request, left us standing in the middle of the dining hall and went to go stand and talk to the other workers at the cash register. When I went back up to ask her about the plug that we could see visible next to a vacant table. She went and started slinging tables and chairs, moving them together to make a big enough table to fit seven when the men in our party jumped into help and ask her which tables she wanted to move. She ignored them and started slamming down menus and left. The waitress was the friendliest person we experienced here even though in the middle of taking down our order, she left and said she was being paged to take food out, though there were several other workers standing around in the dining hall ,even the older men at the cash register were unfriendly and stood leaning over the cash register like they were on slot machines or something. At the least we are paying for food at your highly mediocre establishment , you can give a smile or eye contact . The food wasn’t terrible. It just had no seasoning as stated in previous reviews. Coming from Houston These are the type of places you think about when you think of small town restaurants in the worst way, so disappointed in a waste of time much better options in the area.
While visiting this area I had my friend pick up a to go order. I purchased 2 deluxe fish plates $17.95 each plus extra stuffed crabs and oysters. There were Tiny “cashew” size scallops, flavorless stuffed crab. Only 1 piece of fish in each plate with a whole lot of breaded tiny meat. No sour cream, butter, or utensils. I paid around $50.
This is the best SEAFOOD RESTAURANT FOR SEAFOOD ! BUT THE ICE TEA COULD PUT A DIABETIC IN A COMA ! ITS TOO SWEET FOR MY TASTE EVEN AFTER I ASK FOR MY TEA @'50/50 IT WAS WAY TOO SWEET AND I HAD TO ASK FOR ANOTHER GLASS OF UNSWEET TEA SO I COULD MIX IT TO WHERE I COULD DRINK IT ! OTHER THalAT THAT I PLAN TO MAKE THIS MY GO TO PLACE FOR SEAFOOD !

My friend and I went here last Friday for lunch. It has been almost 12 years since I've been back at this restaurant and I'll say it wasn't a disappointment. We both ordered their Lunch Special of Catfish and shrimps. It included baked potato, coleslaw and hushpuppies. Our server, Sierra, was friendly and attentive. Our hostess sat us down as soon as we got there. Now this was their lunch hour on a Friday and we got seated as soon as we walked in and they already had a buzzling room filled with their customers. Less than 5 minutes our server came and got our orders and drinks then came back with a basket of hot and golden hushpuppies with whipped butter. Yum!!! I havent had hushpuppies in a long while and we were both hungry, so we ate it all before our lunch came, but Sierra checked on us even while waited for our meal and brought us more. Less than 10 minutes our lunch came still fresh from the fryer. 2 large fried catfishes and 10...yes 10 deep fried jumbo shrimps, baked potato and coleslaw. I was so hungry I almost burned my tongue. The baked potato only came with a side of their whipped butter and a little packet of sour cream that you can get at a fast food place, but if you asked for more, they will give you extras. You do have a choice of french fries if you didn't want a baked potato. I wasn't fond of the coleslaw...it wasn't the coleslaw I'm used to and love growing up here in the South. It was sort of minced into small bits, and I guess because of their customers are older folks. But all in all, the food was delicious. The place is clean...so clean that even their restroom was spotless and didn't have that awful smell of sewer like most other restaurants have. The hostess was in one of the stalls with gloves cleaning, now that's true dedication. She was so friendly and I wished all restaurants here in Fayetteville were liked that. So we all fuss about the food and the staff and say we won't be coming back" , but Hudson Bay Seafood cares about their customers. I love watching their staff interact with their customers new and old. That's what's missing these days in restaurants and even any businesses...they're forgetting what proper customer service is. Thanks Hudson Bay Seafood...y'all I'll be coming back. Oh...I forgot for the lunch special we had it only cost a us a whopping $23+ ($10.95 each). Just sayin....check this local business out. ❤️

It was quite a blast to dine here. Was pretty grateful to have a fun, kind, and generous decent hostess along with delectable delicious food that the chefs had prepared for us. Gee, I can't wait to visit again and delight in the meal what is set before us. A special time and wonders, with smiles and joy, are expected when you come to Hudson's.

Flounder and shrimp combo. It was simply great. In today’s economy, I don’t think you could do finer. It’s right there with the restaurants on the coast. Well priced at lunch for dine in.
