Would have loved to leave a great review of the food at Hudson’s tonight, however we didn’t get any food. Apparently, showing up before 6:30 at a restaurant that closes at 7pm on a Sunday, is frowned upon at this establishment. Upon arrival, the hostess asked, with a snarky tone, if we were dining in. Well, we usually don’t go in as a family of four to pick up to-go orders. We were seated and watched as waitresses were flipping up chairs and cleaning the dining room with many tables still eating or waiting on food. A waitress then came to our table before we had even ordered drinks to ask us if we were going to need the sauces on the table (cocktail, tartar, ketchup, etc).. why yes, we wood, but she clearly just wanted to take them to clean/fill for the night. Once we realized we weren’t feeling welcomed at all, and they’ve removed any broiled/blackened options from the menu, we decided to leave. On the way out, my husband stopped to speak with one of the worst employees ever when asking to speak with the owner/manager. He told us the owner was busy in the kitchen, and basically solidified that they couldn’t care less to lose business. He was rude and non-apologetic, ending with a very sarcastic “yeah, y’all have a good night.” We will be calling tomorrow hoping to get a better response when the owner isn’t too busy to speak with a customer.

Good, old style restaurant that serves lots of fried fish and seafood. Not great but never a bad meal. Price is right for the meal and service. Always a friendly staff.

As much as I love this place, and have been going for years, I'm disappointed. The last 3 times I went I asked for flounder and catfish and was given tilapia. I know the difference. I kept wanting to believe it was a fluke but alas I suspect it is not. Even when I asked for it to be replaced with what I ordered they just took it off and put it in another plate to send back out. So now I have to find another seafood spot.

I can't come to the south and not get some good fried seafood. This spot did not disappoint. First the hush puppies were hot and came to table as soon as we sat down. If you can't decide what you want go for the Deluxe seafood. Every bit of it was on point. Salute to the south for knowing how to make sweet Tea!!

This is your typical southern fried seafood restaurant. Very popular with the older local crowd. Everything tasted fresh and the place is pretty clean as well. The employees were friendly enough. Price wasn't bad for lunch, $11 for decent sized pieces of catfish and several largish sized shrimp.

We had a great experience at Hudson Bay. The Food and service was fantastic. I do wish that had a couple more options, but overall delicious.

It has been a few years since we've been to Hudson Bay and it's still as good as it always has been. The food is good, the service is good, the portions are hefty and the prices are good. We came up from Florida to be with kids, sister and dad and we all met at Hudson Bay. It was a very good choice. When in Fayetteville, Hudson Bay should be one of your stops.

Food VERY satisfying seafood. Best flounder, catfish and coleslaw we've had since we relocated from Long Island NY. The young lady was very prompt and professional with our service. The atmosphere was pleasant. I'd dine here again.

The quality waivers with each visit. Ordered two platters to go. Very overcooked, gummy fried shrimp. Fries had been pre -cooked then over fried again. Zero seasoning in the crust/breading. Hushpuppies were greasy. They've changed their tartar sauce to some cheap tasteless mayonnaise. My sister's large shrimp and flounder platter was beyond skimpy for the price. All the food tasted like old burnt grease. Last visit. Resting on their past laurels.

The seafood at Hudson Bay Seafood is among the best in NC. They only open Wednesday through Sunday. Their luncheon menu and dinner menu items taste great. My favorite fish is the bone-in Flounder. Their fish without the bones are tasty too. Highly recommended.

Stopped in recently for some NC seafood and Hudson Bay did not disappoint us. We ordered whole flounder with shrimp and a senior flounder. Everything was cooked perfectly. We had good attentive service and on a Friday night only waited about 10 min for a table. Really great experience overall!

Wanted a meal of fried shrimp with hushpuppies and this place didn't disappoint! Great meal (see photo). Service was friendly and prompt. 1st time here while visiting area. Will definately return upon next visit. Great experience.

We stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner on our I-95 drive north and were pleasantly surprised by the great food. I had the large order of fried oysters and my wife had the fried shrimp. We both had coleslaw and baked potato sides. The oysters were perfect - crispy with the right amount of coating. Baked potatoes were great and we were pleasantly surprised that they were offered as a side since most seafood places only serve fries or boiled potatoes. The coleslaw was also outstanding and above average in size. Service was fast and courteous. The place was packed and the patrons were dressed up - probably an after church crowd. We definitely will be back when we cruise I-95 again.
