Homestyle German food in a quaint setting. Consistent quality and always fresh.

Max & Moritz Bakery & Restaurant offers a taste of Germany in the US. The atmosphere is described as cute and cozy, with a friendly staff. The food is praised, including homemade pastries, fresh brioche, and tasty meals like the Currywürst and Goulash. The baked goods are fresh, locally made, and reasonably priced. Customers particularly enjoy the cookies, which are reminiscent of days long past, and the excellent tea with fresh-cut lemons. The restaurant cooks everything fresh and from scratch, ensuring delicious flavors. Visitors also recommend trying the Eiska Coffee, which provides an authentic experience. The interior is cozy and clean, with pleasant sounds and smells filling the space.
Customers describe the restaurant as an unassuming place from the outside but very cozy inside, specializing in German food and baked items. The Beef Rouladen, Jaegerschnitzel, and Bratwurst are all delicious, and the cucumber salad is a winner. The Goulash soup is fantastic, and the red cabbage is slightly too sweet for some tastes. The atmosphere is informal, and the prices are reasonable.
Overall, this hidden gem is a must-visit for those craving authentic German cuisine, with a wonderful dining experience and fantastic bakery.
