Drove all the way from Goldsboro to try this place. Arrived at 6pm on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was closed. Their hours online as well as the sign on the window said open till 8pm. After a quick check on their Facebook page there was no announcement of closing today, although they have posted other closings in the past. Such a shame as this was my 50th birthday and I love German food. Guess I’m gonna have to settle for pretty much anything else, most of which I could have got in Goldsboro.
Authentic German food. Absolutely delicious!

Some of the best food I’ve had in America so far! The Currywürst was so good and authentic! The cakes are phenomenal and the beer was amazing! Great service too! I recommend this place 100%

What an amazing, authentic experience! I highly recommend the Eiska Coffee and the Goulash. All of the baked goods are fresh, locally made and reasonably priced. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly without being overbearing or intrusive. The interior is cozy and clean with all sorts of pleasant sounds and smells drifting about. We will definitely be going back!

Went to Max & Moritz to celebrate my birthday with my son. It is my tradition to have a German meal for my birthday. I guess traditions are made to be broken because my experience here was terrible. We walked in and waited to be sat. Once we sat down, we became invisible. We sat for about ten minutes waiting for a menu which never came. Then a group of people walked in. They were sat immediately and given menus and silverware. We had not received either. What made it more maddening was that the waitress had to walk right by my table to get to theirs. After she answered some of their questions, she went to the kitchen. We got up and left. Thanks for nothing.
