We just picked it out of our maps for what is close by . We are so glad we stopped. The smoker is going on the front deck and the smell will lure you. We shared a rack of ribs and it was so good. Very friendly staff. Sweet potato casserole was so good too.
Amazing experience and Aleah did a fantastic job handling our party of seven . The food was great and I will definitely visit again the next time I am in the area.

I had the 4 piece wing dinner with mac n cheese cornbread strawberry lemonade...Tina had the Owners suggestion the seafood pasta DELICIOUS!! Melvin's at Riverside is an Amazing restaurant. This was my first time & the experience was Great. The service is excellent. I live 2 hours away & I promise I am going back. We had a party of five..no wait & food was excellent. I had the fish & shrimp combo ????!! The deserts were simply delicious

The cabbage was excellent seasoned well. The ribs were awesome. My baked beans were also very good. However they had an unusually long wait time from ordering to service. Some were served and almost halfway finished before others food arrived. My food did not come on a plate while everyone else's at my table did. Understandably it was Sunday but gospel music the whole time was not something some of us preferred.

Our visit was 2 February 2024 for a late lunch. My dish was ½ Rack Ribs, collards, Arnold Palmer drink, Sm Banana Pudding. We were a part of 10. All enjoyed their dishes. The environment was pleasant and our waitress for professional and pleasant to work with. She answered all questions. You receive plenty of food for your plate. The only complaint was I am not a fan of Banana Pudding. But overall, this is a nice place to dine and I would come back.

The banana pudding was literally the BEST I have ever had! We had the ribs and they were HUGE and oh so good! If you haven't been here, you totally should!
