Mr. K Authentic Chinese Restaurant

Came in for dinner this evening, was torn between Orange Chicken & General Tso, so I got both. Their pricing is very awesome for *huge* portion sizes. I knew I would end up with leftovers for lunch and dinner tomorrow. My partner recommended this place, he comes in for lunch occasionally during the work week.

Our server was kind, friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. She came often to check in, and made conversation with us. Mr. K came out to say hello, and that he hoped we liked the meal. We definitely did.

I have been to several Chinese restaurants in Fayetteville & Hope Mills over the last 15 or so years I've lived here. Mr. K's beat them all by a large milestone. Great food, great atmosphere. This is most definitely my new favorite restaurant! I will absolutely be back. 🖤

Yummy food, great portions. Quiet atmosphere if you hate abnoxious music blasting in your ears while your eating. Scallion pancake is on point ✨️

I've gone in there a few times now and every time I try something new it's so good my favorite are the ribs and the Chinese burger but literally everything is pretty great i had the soup dumpling and those things burst in your mouth i Definity come here more often then I should. The only problem is that on weekend they get crazy busy so I go during the week cause you'll definitely be waiting awhile

I think this place is overhyped. My egg rolls were almost burnt and the entree meal was meh to me but maybe I came on the wrong day.

Authentic Chinese cuisine (I've been to China many times, mostly in Harbin and Heilongjiang towns, and what you get in places like Panda express is not real deal) Loved their chicken and eggplants!

Today was my first time patronizing this restaurant. When the young lady said the ribs were braised ribs I thought it was going to be in the red sauce. I received gravy braised ribs. I think they need to specify the difference. That was not my definition of braised.

This guy is a good job. He cooks everything himself and it comes out the same every time very big fan of the shrimp fried rice and the green beans with the hot pepper chicken.

Ordered Walnut Shrimp and had 4 tiny slivers of walnut 🤨
That makes no sense!

Calling to place the order a lady answered the phone and said Hello
I’m like is this Mr K’s and she said yeah.
Very professional.
Things have gone down hill not worth the $$$. Sad I used to really like this place.

Update : Mr K reached out to me and made our walnut shrimp like we are used to it was delicious.

The waitress was so nice and helpful. She recommended her favorites and was so sweet. However, the peking duck isn’t the best. It was covered in a breading and the meat was overcooked and hard. The floors could also use some cleaning UNDER the tables and the paint on the wall was chipped. The menu also needs to be updated since they have stickers on multiple items that they no longer are available.
