My fried fish was overcooked/ slightly burnt and greasy/ grease was in the plate. The green beans had a lot of black pepper added. Second time I’ve been there and the first time was two years ago. The place has not changed with the quality of food. I would suggest somewhere else if you’re looking for fried fish.

Food was ok, we placed the order on the phone requested cocktail sauce, in the restaurant also requested cocktail sauce 2 more times ,there was none with our order, they hire young girls to work in the restaurant and they do not listen. The green beans come straight from a can. Not worth adding as a side. If you order a platter do not expect your sides to be a good portion.

Loved this place! We came in 30 minutes before closing (we didn’t know their closing time until I looked it up afterwards) and were not rushed or treated differently. The team was so friendly. It was a warm, family vibe…everyone from the front of house to the back of house was so nice. I’d definitely come back again, just because of how nice everyone was and the customer service. The food was great also.

I haven't eaten at Peadens in many years and we decided to eat there this past weekend and I was very disappointed. It was not the Peadens that I remembered. Years ago the line to get in was the whole length of the building and this time we walked right in. The food was not good and it used to be delicious. I was so so disappointed at how far it had declined. I won't be back

We used to love this place. We moved away and haven't been back for 5yrs. Stopped by when we were in the area.
Was very disappointed. With the exception of the wonderful older gentle at the front door who was very friendly and helpful, the servers seemed like they were preoccupied with something else. (Visiting w co-workers? Phone? No idea but it wasn't taking care of us.)

The fish used to be tender and full of flavor. Big thick filets and so on Great service w friendly people etc.

Now? Not so much. My fish was tough. How do you even make tilapia tough? Moreover the fish pieces were flat and stringy.

The boiled shrimp was very good. Unfortunately the drawn butter was spoiled . Yep. Smelled bad. Tasted much much worse.

Our server apparently saw that we needed more napkins and promised to bring us more.... Then just wandered off and only came baxk to give ud the bill. Wish I could say it was because they were slammed (like they used to be) but no. There were only four tables occupied. All by couples. There was a steady stream of people picking up take out, but I didn't see any reason why our server didn't pop by to check on after setting the food down.

In short, the hush puppies and boiled shrimp were good and the baked beans were still as good as we remembered. It was very clean (as were the bathrooms) but everything else was subpar.

Maybe we should have said something, but we had a long drive ahead and just wanted to eat and get on the road. I just don't understand what happened. Esp for something as simple as butter. How did no one there smell it?

Finally. They either no longer serve dessert or we're out of everything. When we asked the server (hoping we could at least end the meal on a high note she said "We have no desserts."
Well that was the icing on the cake

We won't be back. Which stinks since we use to love getting fried fish and boiled shrimp there.

Maybe someone will read this and fix it.
