This place is so good, they give very big potions of jollof rice and a lot of fufu which is really enjoyable for me, we drove 27 minutes here to try them, this my second time coming and they are as good as last time, I'm dominican and this kind of food is very close to ours when it comes go the flavors ❤️. As soon as I got home I added some avocado and banana to eat with it, I'm so full with just 2/5 of the plate haha

The food, service, and atmosphere are 11/10. I travel a lot and Nigerian food is always what I look for on my trips. This food at pointone is the best compared to the places in Washington DC, Atlanta, and Florida. The meat pie is made fresh and this is what I fight for. The puff puff ah! The rice and stew and the ogbono soup with pounded yam are my favorite. I retired from cooking at home and just come here for my food. This is my happy place. Authentic food. Thank you!!!!

Absolutely delicious! There just aren’t words for how yummy, hot and fresh this meal was. I ordered the Banga stew with goat, meat pie and chicken pie, plantains, pounded yam and Eba.The Banga was layered with flavor! It was hot, thick, rich and creamy and the goat was nice and tender. It paired so perfectly with Eba. The meat pies were crispy on the outside and packed a big ole’ punch of flavor on the inside. I ended up dipping them in the Banga, too! If I have any critique at all, it would just be that the plantains could use a bit more seasoning or salt, but they were delicious as well! Thank you, Point One, I will definitely be back.

I’ve never had this before but when I open the bag I’d good it smelt burnt then when I ate it it taste burnt as well. I called the store to ask if this is what it supposed to taste like. The girl on the phone said hello can u hold, hung up on me then called back minutes later. I told her it smelt and taste burnt I believe she got offended She then tasted it did not smell or taste burnt snd didn’t people taste it differently. To say the least I was not impressed with the soup or fufu. I probably will not purchase that particular dish again. Maybe I’ll try some fried fish or something idk. One thing I do know is I’m not in a rush to go back anytime soon. To add to this since the owner is saying I’m making up stories. I actually went back up to purchase fried plantains after I had ordered the #6. I was told I would have to make another purchase of at $5 in order to use my card again on top of the $20 purchase for the soup and fufu. And the goat meat was pretty much bone and skin. Little bit of meat/ food for a lot of money. I wish I never listened to my co worker about this recommendation and for the owner to say I was not being truthful about the burnt smell and taste is disgusting. I will spend my money elsewhere in the future.

If you really want to try a good African or Nigerian food here in NC this is the best place to go. Their egusi soup with oxalis is my absolute favorite. The environment is amazing and welcoming, good Afrobeat music playing and the staffs are great as well. I really enjoy the food and I can’t wait to go back again.

Man I waited so long to try fufu and must I say the fufu wasn’t bad at all I had Banga soup with goat and fufu and my man had jollaf rice plantains and goat but the food was terrible the goat was very tough and dry as well as the plantain now the juice in the soup wasn’t bad but it doesn’t seem authentic and they are very nonchalant and kind of rude and I’ve been to African restaurants they all are not rude and they help you with the menu I was very disappointed to spend $45 just to throw all of my food in the garbage. I ate a tad bit of fufu the rice had a smell omg I am a food critic and love good food this is not recommended. All that just to wait almost an hr and trash the food

This place is absolutely delicious. Portions are more than enough and the food is absolutely stunning. The chicken is delicious and juicy, the rice was very flavorful and i also had some goat meat pepper soup. The goat meat was very flavorful and tender and the soup itself was the perfect amount of spicy and flavorful. This is my second time eating here the first time i had ogbono soup with fufu and it was also amazing. Me and my grandmother have went together because she also loves the food. We will be making more trips since it is so delicious! I don't mind the price you get what you pay for and even have leftovers. Would definitely recommend this place
