Greasy fish, uncooked baked potatoes, and the shrimp was not good, the food just was not as good compared to my last visit, 2 years ago. Sorry....
good food wont dissappoint
Great Service even though it's only Takeout!
I appreciate and enjoy the variety of food items to choose from. The waiters are the very best. They always do a excellent job. I don’t mind waiting in a long line (usually on Sunday), it is well worth the wait.
Nothing special here need to watch food for dryness under heat lamps Basic items some more salty than others Nothing really fancy Just basic
Visiting Fayetteville from PA - my husband picked this place because 1. They give Fire/EMS/police and military discounts. My son is a Vet, my husband a firefighter and I an EMT. He also said trip advisor reviews were good. I have no idea who was reviewing this place - but they obviously have no taste for good food as the food was horrible. The chicken was extremely dry. The Salisbury Steak tasted like dog food - the salad (ice burg lettuce) was the best thing I ate off my plate.
We ate dinner here. They were fairly busy. They kept all dishes replenished frequently. Our server was attentive with drink refills and removing dishes. We prefer fried flounder which they had fried whiting and croakers while we were there. The hot rolls were delicious. They have pizza and chicken nuggets which can be appealing to kids. Many meats, veggies, desserts and salad bar to choose from. Price not bad for the amount of food available.
Having evacuated from New Bern in anticipation for Hurricane Dorian, we find ourselves on the east side of Fayetteville NC, where we found Sandpiper Buffet. What a find! The absolute best fried chicken we have ever enjoyed in our nearly fifty years of travel. They use fresh chickens and their own house-made coating, and perfectly fried. Their buffet also offers the ubiquitous salad bar and many entrees and accompaniments. Collard greens are the best! If this restaurant was nearby in New Bern we would be weekly patrons for sure! Staff very amiable and facility clean.
This buffet offers a great variety of foods so that anyone can find something to enjoy. The amount of vegetables and meat offerings were great.

My family and I have been to this restaurant quite a few times. Normally we go inside and eat from the buffet, since we were traveling we went through the drive thru. Most of the food was okay, but tasted like the chef/cook didn’t properly season it and the macaroni and cheese was horrible. Maybe it was an off day, because the buffet is normally good.
2 hungry friends and I were on the way home from DC to Georgia, so I googled restaurants and this one popped up. We figured the packed parking lot to be a good sign and it was. Brief 5 minute wait before paying the $12, seated, and it was on and popping! The food is hot, well seasoned, flavorful and plentiful. They even had CHITLINS on the buffet, a first for me! I don't eat pork but I'm impressed. I feasted on the whole fried fish, sweet coleslaw, homemade banana pudding, and the rutabagas. Good thing you live 4 hours away, I'd be big as a horse! And the service was good too.
We visited here today for the 1st time ever. We normally dont go so far to eat, however my husband wanted to try this place. Great food, friendly staff. Only complaint, they only offered a 10% discount for us being Military unlike their conpetors. Not that we felt like we are owed anything but it would've been an honor for my disabled husband who served our country to of received a free dinner today. Other than that, excellent place.
This is a very clean, well maintained buffet. The service was excellent. The staff is attentive and prompt in meeting the needs of our table. The food selection was vast and very tasty. All of the food was well seasoned. I highly recommend this place for a reasonably priced, all you can eat, family friendly restaurant.
It's been several years since I've visited this area so I made such Sandpipers was on my To Do list. Oh my gosh the food was soooooo good!! Cabbage, corn, fried fish, fried shrimp, black eyed peas, NC sweet tea, and some oven made banana pudding made me blow my diet into outer space. My kids also enjoyed the baked lasagna, cheesy mac n cheese, and garlic toast. They offer 10% military discounts and reduced prices for children under 10. If you love soul food or southern cooking then this is the place to go. Don't let the long lines discourage you either because they try to sit you quickly.
