The wait was super long, always long, even before the pandemic, but once you dig into your boil you will forget how long you waited. Literally worth the wait. My first time trying a shrimp burger was her and I loved it!! Ate my burger at the bar/high table and took my boil home (the wait for a table was too long and I somewhere to be after) but I still enjoyed it!

Had dinner here and the seafood tasted like it came out of a box. Rubbery and tasteless. The presentation was on the level of fast food. Nice views of the river with bland rubbery food.

Cooked right on the spot no matter when you order, even if it's online, right then and right there by 3 or 4 of the most excellent chefs! everybody there is happy, laughing, having a good time, just full of love, light and joy! I work for Google, and so I don't give recommendations lightly, and I give this place my highest recommendation and five stars!

This place is Legit for seafood! I have been trying to get here on past visits to Fayetteville, NC and it was my mission to make sure I checked them out while in NC this time! I order the shrimp and the whiting platter to share with family! The platters included corn; hush puppies and steak fries! Everything was seasoned to perfection and piping hot! During COVID..take out is the only option..the staff were friendly and service was prompt! On my next visit I plan to try the lobster tails that were sold out during this visit! 4 stars because they didn't have beverages to sell!

This place was absolutely amazing. The food and service was great for us, however there were others next to us that waited to 4 hrs and then ended up canceling their meal. Be prepared to wait a long time, sometimes several hours.

All I have to say is Yeessss. My niece and I were craving a boil. Str8 Drop was suggested to us. I have to say, the food was delicious!! It was seasoned perfectly. We got the Royal Combo and a tray of Crawfish. The price was fair for the amount of food we got. I definitely recommend them.
It was the first time in awhile that I had seen my son and his wife so we decided to dine at this straight drop restaurant. I can say I was very disappointed first of all, they were out of crab legs and lobster, nothing could be fried, I was brought cold oysters on ice while I ordered steamed oysters and shrimp. The waitress did go and warm the oysters. It was awefull, I wanted to leave but my son decided to be nice and stay. I am surprised the manager did not come out and say anything.

I've been very interested about trying this place, but been leery about it because of some of the reviews. Well, my kids and I visited for my son's birthday, and everything was awesome. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter was kind and quickly took our drink orders. When the drinks arrived he took our food orders. When we got our food it was hot, fresh, and delicious. Even my picky child, who generally doesn't eat seafood, tried some crab and lobster and LOVED it. The restaurant was super clean, as were the bathrooms. My one and only complain is that the table we were sat at was super wobbly, and with two younger children constantly wiggling around, it got a little annoying. For me that is not enough to knock off any stars. I was still very pleased with our visit, and we will definitely be back!

I really wanted to love this place. I found it before we ever moved here and was so looking forward to trying the food. My husband and I came for lunch. We tried to order the cheese oysters to start and were told they were out of steam oysters. Fine, we moved on and ordered the sampler: crab fries, nachos, chicken tenders, eggrolls. It took a while to get and at the time there were only about three tables of customers. The first thing we try are the crab fries. The fries weren't warm AT ALL. They obviously made those first or they were old. Not sure, the chicken and the eggrolls were hot. My husband ordered the oyster dinner and I ordered the shrimp burger. Our waitress comes back to tell us they are out of fried oysters, so he ordered the whiting with shrimp. He asked for tartar sauce and was given packets. For specializing in seafood, why are you not making tartar sauce in house??? After cold fries, being out of food when you just opened and packets of tartar sauce, I don't think we will be back. For the prices they charge the food should be hot, house made and more than five shrimp on the burger would be a bonus!

So first time going here. Heard about this place and wanted to check it out. Go in on a Saturday about noon. I see this sign and ask for the 1/2 royal special. A lady yells from the back that they aren't doing any of the lunch specials even though the sign clearly says Thursday-Sunday 11-2pm. Okay bet I still want to try it so I order the regular price Royal Combo for $27 with extra sausage $2.50, I get the plate and the shrimp are small, the corn is over done and it's one piece of sausage with half of a potato. Very disappointed. Honestly don't see what the big was. I actually tried the other location drop by the river and the food was actually better in my opinion. The sausage tasted better and the shrimp was bigger, which was worth my money.
