We LOVED dining here! We felt so lucky to find this gem while traveling home from Bryson City to Charleston. I googled restaurants nearby when we stopped to get gas and this popped up. Reviews looked good, so we adventured just a few minutes off course to get here. Plenty of parking in the back, even with a pretty full dining room. As soon as we walked in, I loved the atmosphere. From entry to exit, it was a full experience. The staff was friendly and seemed happy to welcome us (which is unfortunately difficult to find these days!) Got seated right away- it was lunch time on a Thursday.
We had the burnt end lettuce wraps for an appetizer. The presentation was BEAUTIFUL and delicious. It came as an “assemble yourself” type plate. 10/10
Then, I had the chicken enchiladas- absolutely delicious and another pretty presentation. The enchiladas came in a cute small casserole dish and the wild rice & beans were such a good, unique and fresh flavor. 10/10
We shared the peanut butter cheesecake and had some coffee. Amazing. 100000/10
Perfect flow to the service, it was exactly how I prefer it- present and helpful but not overly present! 10/10
Overall, incredible experience. I felt there was a lot of attention to detail in the menu and the flavors. They hit the notes just right, but with so many flavors I haven’t had before!
For 2 soft drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 meals, 1 dessert & 2 coffees, the meal totaled about $100 including tip. I was so happy with the experience I felt it was $100 well spent. We will DEFINITELY be back. We travel this way often & I already look forward to bringing more friends & family here!

The waiting list can be long - from 15-30 plus minutes… it is a very casual setting with WONDERFUL food and isn’t too quiet due to the number of people there… it’s a smaller restaurant, unlike many others, and the food is definitely worth the wait!

My husband and I were away on a weekend getaway in Hendersonville/flat rock. We were having a hard time trying to figure out where to eat dinner and finally agreed upon this place. My husband wanted Mexican, but I didn’t really want Mexican but here he was able to get fire roasted chicken enchiladas with beans and rice and he was very pleased with the meal. I was able to get the grilled trout and it came with wild rice and mixed vegetables. I was not too keen on the mixed vegetables that came with it but the waitress Lauren was nice enough to go ask if there were any alternative vegetables that they could prepare for me. She came back and said they could do asparagus and so that’s what I ordered with my fish and it was delicious. The trout was cooked just right it had a great lemon seasoning on it. Asparagus was good and the rice was good. Lauren was very attentive very knowledgeable and very helpful. We will be back.
