We ate an awesome lunch today. I had the turkey apricot Brie sandwich, my husband had the sliders and we shared a piece of chocolate mousse cake. Everything was fabulous (including the staff who could not have been any nicer or more accommodating.) I highly recommend everyone try this place! We can’t wait to go back for either lunch or dinner! 😊

The wagyu beef sliders are literal perfection - please never stop making them! Truly the most delicious burger I’ve had in a long time.
Pies are also really incredible. Strawberry rhubarb is me and my husband’s fave.

Bad skimpy salad. 3 tiny pieces of lettuce. Off tasting beets. Couldn't get a glass of water. Music blasting. Plastic tiny cups for iced tea. Asked for dressing on the side. Drenched in balsamic. 2 piles of berys. No salad. No service. Go across the street to eat! It was a 40 minute wait so thought we would try this place. Never again.
Owner response...I didn't talk to anyone at the restaurant. My friend ordered and got a plastic juice glass of iced tea. Nasty response se just like the experience. Restaurant pretty much empty. Go across the street is my recommendation

Happened upon this place by chance and really enjoyed it. We honestly were just killing time before our movie started and decided to peak our heads in and ended up having a proper lunch. So eclectic and cute, lavender lemonade was amazing and unlimited free refills. We got the fish and fatties and it was the best fried fish I’ve had in a long time . Flakey fish and perfectly crispy crust. The tartar sauce was really nice too. My bf loved the ube cheesecake. Service was extremely friendly and we definitely wanna come back to try the gumbo, burger and meatloaf sandwich. And the croissant and the praline cheesecake😅

If review was based on the food and ambience alone it could be 5 star, however two for lunch with a glass of wine and coffee for each was over $100 including tip. Prices are high, particularly $12 for 2 coffees that did not fill 12 oz cups.
Be prepared for a pricey lunch $$

Wow!
Found this place on maps during a lunch break.
I got the Edson’s meatloaf sandwich. It was unbelievably good!
The space that I saw was small, but I didn’t venture far past the counter because I was getting mine to go.
The girl at the counter was super sweet!
And my to go order was packaged so neatly and cute!
If you’re on here complaining about the prices, just stop. You’re going to spend about the same at some chain restaurant. OR you could support a small/local business with that same money! Just saying…

Tucked back from the road, we stumbled upon this small bistro and it was amazing. Everything on the menu sounded delicious making it hard to choose. One of the best meatloaf sandwiches I’ve had. The bacon wrapped dates (Devil on Horseback) were an amazing appetizer to start. We will definitely be back.

If Blue Ruby can put their gumbo on the permanent menu, I will be back weekly!! Was right up there with gumbo from NOLA! Service, excellent! Acoustics such that we could enjoy conversation! GREAT SPOT!

Truly. World. Class.
I was visiting my friend Janet and she recommended we try Blue Ruby (restaurant). In one word: Impressive.
The service was among the most friendly experiences I have had in North Carolina. One of the owners, the chef and waitresses all greeted us and spend time chatting with us about what we like/ don't like/ where we are from/ the restaurant, etc. Wonderful people who are certainly in the right business (hospitality).
The food- authentic flavors, outstanding presentation and perfect sized portions. I tried the Juan Valdez martini- this was about as good as it gets for dessert drinks, the perfect mix of coffee liqueur, cream and vanilla. The Lemon Garlic hummus was fantastic, the texture and flavors were remarkably fresh. My personal favorite- Green Curry Mussels. Having just returned from a trip to India two weeks before, I can say with 100% certainty that these mussels are every bit as good as the real deal in Hyderabad. The perfect mix of coconut milk with chili, lime and served with crostini, such a wonderful dinner.
The temperature, level of lighting, music and overall feel of the place is welcoming and comforting. Strongly recommend to anyone. If you do make a stop here- make sure to try the almost basket vanilla mouse dessert- truly special.
Thank you to the entire team at Blue Ruby for a memorable dining experience- I can't wait to come back.
