This was our second location visiting Copper Penny. Overall we were not impressed. The atmosphere was great and the service was good, however, the food was mediocre at best. My wife and I both felt that it was not worth the $66.00 + tip that we spent. My wife ordered the fillet mignon and I ordered the tortellini with beef and Alfredo. My wife's fillet mignon was over cooked and chewy. My tortellini was ok but nothing to write home about.

Food was good and the girl that was our waitress was very nice. But, the manager that has the star tattoos on her neck was rude. She told us when we got there our wait was 40 mins to an hr. Our wait time hit an hr and 30 minutes so i told her 30 minutes over an hr is a long time from what you told us. She told me word for word “we have a location in Rutherfordton that doesn’t have a bad wait” I was a little shocked so I replied “why would i drive their after i been here an hr 30” and walked off. Took us 2 hrs to be seated and our party of 6 had to be separated. She needs training on her time management and attitude.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The pimento cheese balls were outstanding—rich, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as ordered, and the baked potato was light, fluffy, and cooked just right. We also shared the Penny Tower. 😋
We visited on a Saturday in the early evening before the Christmas light display and had about a 35-minute wait, which was absolutely worth it. By the time we left, the wait had grown to 2–2.5 hours. While the service did slow down as the restaurant became busier, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and well worth the wait.

First time customer and found the place very nice. Service was good too. The food I ordered was so so, but the two others I was with enjoys theirs. If im back in that town, I would give it another try with a different food choice.
