Wonderful staff, clean, and the food is to die for, SO GOOD!

Food was inedible I just couldn't eat it and server made me take it home and pay for it I will not be returning

Walked in and was going to eat there. I had a small paper bag I needed to throw away. The lady at the front told me no public trash. I just left and won’t go back. So petty

The place was first off not very clean. There are still half scrubbed off Covid stand 6 feet apart signs on the floor, and the bathroom smelled horrid. The hibachi plates we ordered tasted fine but the shrimp sauce tasted and looked old. The sushi we did try was worse than grocery store deli sushi.

I used to be a regular customer until I got a sushi roll that had plastic on it. The owner of the restaurant was standing at our table when I pulled the piece of plastic out of my mouth and nothing was said. She didn’t even offer to discount the meal.
I haven’t been back since.

Good food and good service. Food prepared hot as you order it. I highly recommend!

A semblance of “cleaner” food available in a calm, warm setting. No loud distractions, fresh vegetables available, and the kindest staff you could ask for.

Workers where rude. I used to love getting food from here but not any more. You have to pay extra if you want more than 2 packs of soy sauce for 3 meals. I asked for 3 sets of chopsticks for my 3 meals and was given 2 and was told that I couldn't have any more. Never had a problem before.

Today was my first time eating here and I love it . Reasonably priced the food is fresh and good. In a wide open area and it is on oak Street which is very well traveled.
It would be an ideal place for a romantic dinner.
It is race friendly, family-friendly,
I got the steamed dumplings, my associate got noodles.
It is a Japanese restaurant very clean and casual.

Always friendly, always delicious!

Food is great; staff is rude, lazy, and uncaring. They routinely mark pickup orders ready 5-10 minutes before they are actually ready. This is obnoxious for take- out; it actually costs you money if you're a DoorDash driver. And they claim they have no control over this. Which is actually laughable. As much as I like the food I won't put up with their staff again.

I used to go to both Sakura's in the area, but ever since I started going to Kyoto Express, I have not returned to either one of the Sakura's. Food is presented very well, and is fresh. Service is great compared to the lousy service at Sakura's. Yet they expect a big tip for coming to your table once to take the order. This is mainly at the Forest City restaurant. Spindale is better in this regard. Atmosphere is cozy with a fireplace and the entire restaurant is super clean. And it is far cheaper than Sakura's. Same plate of Terriachi Steak, rice and carrots is $2.50 cheaper than Sakura and you get more for your money. I have found my go to for Japanese cuisine. Paula is great!

I’ve been coming to this place for a couple years now, I have a gluten allergy and it’s got to the point where when I order my food they bring me the gluten feee soy sauce without me having to ask for it. I get hibachi steak or chicken every time and in my dozens of experiences here I’ve never been disappointed, waitstaff is amazing and it is very fairly priced
