Great place but I gave only 4 stars as a guy came in and sat down with his dog! I couldn't believe it. When I asked the waitress about Health Department code, she said it could be a service dog. It didn't have any identification of that and then she said they aren't allowed to question it. I was shocked. I'm a dog person, we have two dogs we adore, but I would never even consider taking them into a restaurant. What are people thinking??? It is so unsanitary...

After a round of golf in Rutherfordton.
We decided to go somewhere to eat.
My cousin had heard about Hoot & Nanny in Forest city, so we decided to give it a try.
I ate the best hamburger I have ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot of hamburgers in my 68 years, but nothing could top the double beef Patriot burger I had. The fries were awesome as well! My buddies loved their bbq! Service was very good! I highly recommend any and everyone to try it!

Destiny is an amazing bartender and server. Our steaks were perfection and the sides were fresh. Post Helene, this place is putting out top-notch food at very respectable prices. GREAT SERVICE, Great food.
