Since the new owner took over this place sucks! You’re going to wait forever to get the wrong food with an attitude. Not to mention my great aunt has somehow spent 1000s of dollars there that they say are credit card transactions that didn’t go through or returned checks they say but can’t show us what the charges were for and melt serving her??? Just doesn’t add up. Not a good place nor good people anymore.

I was really surprised at the amount of food and the quality of it but only cause YES it's a gas station LoL. Those ladies love what they do.

I called in while my honey was driving up the highway and craving some southern fried okra. and even though the kitchen closed at 8, they took my order in advance and held onto my honey’s meal for well over 20 minutes after closing! And it was still hot 😇 the employee over the phone was the sweetest.

Honey said that pork chop was second best, only to his grandma and his grandma throws down! And we are pork chop connoisseurs Lol. The okra was a little greasy according to him and the cabbage needed some TLC (seasoning). But it was the end of the day. I’m sure it was great fresh off the grill.

The ambience got a 3/5 but it’s a restaurant in a gas station, there’s not much ambience expected. It’s a truck stop with truck parking— which we love!

It’s a hole in the wall that will get our business again if we’re ever in town or passing through. Thanks Barefoot’s!

Stopped to use women’s restroom. It’s a single stall for women & another single stall for men on the outside of the building. Wooden door does not shut all the way on the women’s stall (can’t speak for men’s). Otherwise, pretty clean & well stocked.

Our last two take out Orders were wrong. The food was not as good this time as last.

The grill is located inside a gas station. A hole in the wall place that serves some of the most delicious foods you grew up on eating at Grandma’s house. That is the secret to the high quality of food and service that is received.

I get the four piece fried chicken because whatever seasonings they use to cook the chicken is unique and flavorful tasting. You must order the fried corn on the cob as it is something to write home about ! Prices are reasonable.

Ordered one of my favorites! A popcorn chicken plate with french fries, fried corn on the cob with a side of hush puppies! The breakfast food is amazing too!! The people who work there always make us feel welcome!
