Market Square Patisserie is a lovely comfortable tea and coffee shop with incredible pastries, tucked in a flea market shop row on Highlands road. The atmosphere is delightful, and the people are very friendly. It feels like walking into an eclectic cafe on the outskirts of Tuscany with Italian, French & German treats. The place offers fresh baked goods every day, with a focus on delicious snacks and larger scale orders of cakes available upon request. Favorite items include the espresso flight, chocolate croissants, berry tartlets, chocolate chip cookies, Kringle (though it has too much icing), flourless chocolate cake, and the strawberry croissant. The croissants are always fresh and buttery, and the filled versions are like sugary little dreams. The food is 5 star and fabulous, though the location is inside the flea market and the hours are limited, open only 4 days a week with closures for winter break and Thanksgiving. Despite the frustrating location and hours, the product is divine, and the business would be packed if it were downtown on main Street with normal operating hours. The dolcezze are incredible, and the best money is spent on the coffee.
